A trend!

Hey guys,
I might be totally out of line here but here is my objective opinion:
If you have noticed Mithun da is quick to put down a lot of people for the qualities they possess such as jay's dancing, Geeta's weight, Dharmesh's english abilities and even Terrence for his particularity. He even grilled Remo about the ring Dance and his personal life. At the same time if you notice he is quick to praise people/contestants he thinks are for the lack of better term, "good looking" such as Binny and Saumya. 😃
😃 Could this be because he himself has a very low self image and is conscious about his own language/presentation skills. May be he is insecure in his own skin, and that is why he sees flaws in other people to make himself look/feel better. This is a psychologically valid theory . Such people might also be quick to praise pretty women like he does because this attention also makes them feel better -- especially when the girls appreciate it.
I know some of you might think that why would he feel insecure when he is such a big star and a celebrity, but I dont think that has any thing to do with self image. Sometimes the most public figure you can think of can turn out to be the biggest introvert of all..
It's a different opinion that what has been circulation on the forum, but still what do you think?

PS: I was not saying this with any sort of negative connotation. 😊😊😊

To be very honest with you I think its not him and the creatives team that decides what he gets to say n such, n i think they decide based on established social norms.... they are silly things really but thats how our society works, so lets say he makes jokes about geeta's weight, an average viewer will laugh at the joke and accept it because in our society such jokes and judgement on weight are common n popular, same with the english, the joke on henpecked husband (Remo), the beautiful/not so beautiful bias. Its not right and rather unfair but thats just how it is.....

I think everything Mithun says as well as Hosts says is scripted.. so what Mithun thinks or talks is mostly not his views..

I have noticed that Mithun Da likes to compliment pretty girls - last year he complimented Khushboo also.

i guess i never though about the script part.. If that's true than its rather crude humor! If I were one of the contestants, I would be offended and so would be my family! Even if he was complementing cuz you are on that stage to dance not to model off!
hmmm.. that was indeed very interesting to hear!
And yes, I agree about humor in india is quite different to what we are used to!

From what I can remember, he gave a grand salute to Geeta's weight a few weeks ago.

And yes, I agree about humor in india is quite different to what we are used to!

Most of it could be scripted or at least guided... Like they can say - make a joke here about so and so, and then GM can make a joke up or exaggerate the words given to him, to make it look natural and quick witted...

@bold - very true!! Personally I dont like picking on people for their looks or any physical characteristics!! I have seen many desis in the U.S. doing the same, and it's very offensive and never funny! I hope they realize that jokes are not made on the weaknesses of people, and they will never be able to earn respect from their American counterparts by making such jokes... They dont tease us like that, so why should we do that to them? I never liked it in India either, and I used to ignore or walk away from such kind, and I still do...

Forget about Mithun being unsure about what to say. He clearly made an indirect remark to Jack's mum about her weight the other day. I was quite surprised and sort of disgusted. When GM asked Jack's mum how she felt about her son losing 20kg, she responded saying she wasn't very happy about it and Mithun commented back saying something along the lines of..so you like for your son to be like you then. =|

Quite rude and well nowadays that I watch the show after it's being telecasted, I simply fast forward all of Mithun's comments and I find myself forwarding Geeta's comments lately too because all she says is 'outstanding' to her contestants and 'good attempt' to everyone else.
I am liking the relationship between Terence and Remo now though. :)

I know! how bad would jack be feeling that they are making fun of his mom on national television.... no matter what their own mother is a very special and beautiful person to every person and to say such things about moms is in very bad taste 🤢
