Remo is wrong about Shakti doing same style of dance. Till now Shakti did 3 styles of dance, first she used to do Contemporary(note: they all were very contrasting) then she did Cont-hiphop-ary(combination of hip-hop and contemporary - invented by Terrence) and today she did Cont-hip-urban-ary(Another invention of Terrence). Terrence should be proud of Shakti showing so much versatility instead of being defensive, nobody could present multiple form of contemporary dance.

@bold I am glad you think Terence is so good that he's inventing styles, but actually urban style came about when more formally trained dancers started doing hip-hop. Hip-hop is generally more associated with street dancing, and so when more trained dancers started doing it, they borught about a certain grace to it--hence urban style.
Lols about Terence being defensive, he kinda had to didn't he, Remo just told Shakti when she did something new that it looked the same as everything else, when the dance style itself was different.

I completely agree with you..

Shakti is doing this style of dancing again n again and I am BORED 😕.. lot of threads hv came here on IF about shakti's same style of dancing , it is time that Terrence should do something about it.. next week voting starts as a viewer I won't vote for the same style again n again..

Remo was not wrong here.. geeta also agreed him and I am also with him..

Terence was not at all making up stuff on Urban dancing. He was accurately explaining it.

It definitely is not high energy light traditional hip hop. It is a style of hip-hop adapted by classically trained dancers, to be slower and more graceful. Although, it is not a 'distinctly recognized' genre of dancing.

Remo was completely right in his opinion though. Since urban has a lot more classical dance base than actual hip hop, the hip hop nuances are not easily visible. With Shakti having done a lot of contemporary dancing and the similarity urban has with contemporary the hip hop nuances were even less prominent. Although, not typical to urban dancing Terence may have better shown Shakti's versatility by including more forceful hip hop moves.

Shakti dance is more like Ekta Kapoor's story writing, Showing same thing with different masala and mixing them here and there. Either Shakti's deficiency is getting exposed. Even she is doing different style but it looks similar because she can do only few steps brilliantly. Or it is part of Terence game to save the best for last. Let us wait and watch.

I completely agree with remo today. shakti is doing the same kind of dance every week.. even if she is doing other style, there is more of contemprory in it... The sad thing is that 10 very good dancers eliminated bcz they tried to learn new and different dance form in few days, but shakti is not putting any effort of learning something new yet getting best perfomance award every week. This show has disappointed me..

I'd have to say the other way round. Though Terence is amazingly mind blowing. And even if the styles were named differently and are technically not really the same, Shakti, to the general audience, as Remo stated: seems to be near the very same style each week. I don't think Remo was any wrong while stating that.

Though Terence explained it in its integrity, and am sure he was totally right, knowing his potential, I still believe he could have done something different. I hope he does it next week. I am sure he'll still grab the best performance award anyway! 😉

I just find it AMUSING that Remo is NOW talking about versatility when he never really considered that with Prince!!!
Anyway if this show was just about showing dances that "look" different to the audience...then what would be the point to explain what the dance form is?! If someone/choreographer is explaining the dance form and reiterating that IT IS Indeed different then really maybe you should believe it!!! LOL

remo is the most jealous person on earth .. when his dancers perform he will say they are the best in any way direct sometimes aand indirect sometimes .. to others , even if they got standing ovation he has to point out some mistake .. hes reallllyy reallllly reallly jealous if someone does better than him
