Okay, is it just me or is terrence focusing too much a little on the whole "wow factor" rather than dancing?! I think that the contestants are brought to the kasauti round to prove their dancing talent instead of creating some wow moment. In my opinion, Terrence's acts have been mostly focusing on that whole wow factor and not dance..for example shakti's performances..theres no doubt that shes an amazing dancer but lets be realistic..shes been doing the same thing since the past few rounds..actually ever since DID started. lol anyways i felt that in todays round Remo was also mostly right about the whole amit thing he said..and thats exactly why I feel like Remo is the best choreographer/judge because his acts actually focus on dance 😳 unlike Terrence and yeah the whole wow factor is really wearing off ..i hope terrence realizes that soon😆😛..anyways what do you guys think? 😊

Your post is missing "Wow" factor. Next year this show name will be "Wow India Wow" instead of "Dance India Dance".

Terrence didnt say tht the whole performance shld have had only "WOW" factors..he mentioned tht along with dance if wow factor is there it enhances ur performance..so nothing wrong in tht..yes ameeth too had done similar dance..and lots of ppl in the world will do it bt wht distinguishes contestants of DID from rest of the world is the "WOW" factor..so nthing wrong in tht..Remo got defensive for his contestant so thts completely fine..he has a right to do it..at the same time terrence has a right to give his comments..and lets not forget anytime if the masters like the performance there is something different ..something unique..to be specific some "WOW" factor which compels them to say 'thts wht i call a performance" or "stupendofantabulouslyfantastic"..like tissue dance by prince last season...so they always mention some stunts..some lifts..some prop usage as the highlight and thts wht terrence said was missing..dance was good..no doubt..bt something extra cld have been done..

What Terence meant was that a performance, choreographically speaking, should have a wow factor-- which is an innovative movement that uplifts the performance--that stays with you long after the performance. He didn't say that you should just do wow factors and not dance.

This are the top 10 dancers in India. They can all dance evry well, but what sets them apart from otehr dancers is that something extra.
Maybe you feel as if Terence's dances all have only wow factors and not dance, but I beg to differ. Terence knows how to combine the 2 very well, and I hardly remember any of his dances being criticized for lack of dancing , except maybe for 1. Let's face it, if his contestants wer only doing wow things and not dancing, they wouldn't be getting such good comments from everybody else in the show, and Shakti wouldn't have gotten the best performance award like 3 times already.

Yes, shakti got the best performance of the day award 3 times..and those 3 times she basically did the same thing. The question is where is the versatility?! I'm sure if dharmesh did the same thing over and over again..he would surely be in this competition today too 😊 but no thats not how it is with TKT..there may be the whole wow factor created by Terrence but some where along the lines dance is missing and especially versatility..Terrence lacks that big time.

Remo was not being defensive about his contestant...if anyone does that..thats geeta. Remo simply stated that this is the same thing that ameeth did..and when ameeth did it..we all went crazy and chose him for DID whereas when a girl (meenu) does the same thing..which is actually tougher for her since its not her style and in a different language..its not being appreciated even though it should have.

Contemporary is a very broad field. Yes to us, who don't really know too much about contemporary, it might look the same, but it really isn't. Shakti's solo was not the same thing she has been doing lately.
We cannot say whether Dharmesh would be in if he did hip-hop.
Just because someone might be doing the same thing does not mean they are not dancing. Also, just because some performance has a "wow factor" that makes the performance be noteworthy doesn't mean that that performance had no dance.

Contemporary may be a broad field of dance but those three times shakti got the best performance of the day award, she did contemporary and nothing else. I did not say her solo was the same thing..also I didnt see any wow factor in her solo either..maybe thats just my opinion though. 😊
And honestly, we know that if dharmesh had done hip hop, he would still be in the competition since he's best at hip hop. But thats not the point of DID. Not to do only a certain type of dance (like shakti's been doing), or not be creating wow moments and forgetting its dance India dance not wow India wow (like the rest of terrence n his toli). lol Also, its not about using props and limiting the amount of dance you do because you're too into stunts and what not (like geeta has been doing with her trios/duets esp the ones with Binny). Instead DID is about encorporatin more dance along with good presentation..(like remo 😳)

I am sure if Remo had someone who excelled in a certain type of dance he would be doing the same thing terence is doing with shakti..Remember Prince from DID 1?He went to top 5 doing MOSTLY popping and locking..And terence has just done it three times(I do not consider the aerial act to be contemporary) and yesterday shakti did something completely new..
Its always this way in this forum..The other judges can do the same thing and no one has any problem..but as soon as Terence does it-all hell breaks loose..be it him nominating shakti instead of kruthi and be it the fact that he utilizes that fact that shakti excels in contemporary..
