But after the pics that we saw on Insta, chances are slim. Though we'd love to be proved wrong at least in this one instance.

Come to think of it, in Asad's last scene with Swa, he'd said goodbye, hasta la vista.

Whereas Abhay, when leaving his family kept insisting that he would return. Even on his phone call with Suha during the game, he kept saying that he would be back soon. And that dialogue, "...end me hero wali entry marunga" gives us hope - if we ignore that insta pic of his death procession.

In this instance, I doubt our wish will be granted. He will enter as a hero even now. But a dead one. I for one don't want to be hopeful, because we have seen the insta pics. I will be heart broken again if I give myself any hope now.

But to their credit, all the actors were so brilliant today. Asad, OMG. I will say what Adarsh told Swadheenta recently - aaj tak toh mein sirf pyaar karti thi, lekin aaj, Respect for him! Salute!

Abhay and Swa were beyond brilliant too.

With my many years in this soapy world I can say that character and wisdom are sculpted over time. They come with loss, lessons, and triumphs. They come after doubts, second guesses, and exploring unknowns. We just saw the Swa & Shu love-fest after all that taunting. If there were a definitive path to happiness and success, there would be no soappy world. Best stories always comes from overcoming greatest struggles. I'm sure Swa's praises will be birthed from her pains. So for now get set with a box kleenex from costco. 😭
