Hola guys!!! Anshika here.I just love that song "Jiya Re" and it inspired me to write so here it is, my very first try on SwaDarsh.
"Adarsh". " Adarsh"
I could hear the crowd chanting his name afterall it's the most awaited concert of the year "Swadheenta with Silver Strings" as the media quote it. I just came back from the stage and now it was Adarsh and his band's turn to perform. As soon as the first chord hit off , the crowd went crazy.His rugged and raw voice sending chills down my spine.With each word he sings , i am becoming more and more nervous and to say media calls me 'Confident Queen' .Irony !!. But just the thought of Adarsh and me sharing the same stage make me a nervous wreck. 'Adarsh Sinha' he simply rules the world of music and I have known him for my entire life which was inevitable as me and Abhay, Adarsh's brother are childhood bestfriends but no one in this whole world knew about my not so tiny crush on Adarsh and i won't even dare to tell.
"Ma'am ,you are on next"
The spotboy informed me.
" What ??? But they were supposed to sing 2 songs more"
I exclaimed , all the nervousness and anxiousness was coming back and i guess by the tone of my voice the spot was also aware of this.
"Last minute change"
Saying this he went off.
Off course Adarsh would do that he was famous for these last minute changes.And now that i am also here, he wouldn't leave a chance to annoy me.Arrghh !!! He gets onto my nerves sometime. "Stop getting distracted" i mentally scolded myself.
"I can't do this "
I said to myself, nervousness seeping through my veins. God , Asad where are you ?? I definitely need an aam papad right now.
"Come on Freedom , you can do this"
Wait since when do i call myself freedom, the stupid nickname he(Adarsh) gave just to tease me.I ain't got time to talk to myself so i hurriedly went on stage, crowd cheered for me, i am famous after all.There he stood smirking at my direction behind him was Abhay with guitar, who send me a mischievous smile.What the hell is happening.
"Guys , guys , guys"
Adarsh's voice boomed and everyone , literary everyone became silent.
"The next is for a special girl, who is very close to my heart"
Did you hear anything.Yeah ! that was my heart ,breaking into pieces.So the rumours were true , he really had set his eyes on this particular girl.
"A song for Bhai's girl"
Abhay winked at the crowed and started strumming the strings.An all too familiar tune filled my ears.It was the first song he had written and composed.I have heard him playing this tune billion times before but he never sang it in onstage as it's too personal and close to him, it held an irreplaceable value in his heart ,its like his little secret, his words not mine.That girl must be special as he chose to disclose his secret song for her.

He glanced at me.His husky voice filling the whole area.

Main chahun tujhko hi aatto pehar

I couldn' focus anywhere but only on him.

He nodded at me to sing along with him.I knew that song by heart.

Our voices were in complete sync.I looked in his eyes ,there was something different in them, an unknown emotion that i have never seen.

His voice slowly faded off, it was like he poured all his emotions in this song, i thought dejectedly..I couldn't stand it anymore, with that i attempted to walk away from the stage but he caught onto my wrist and pulled me to him.I stumbled and crashed onto him, he looked at me and smiled. His charmjng smile.
" Miss Swadeenta Ramakrishnan , I have known you for my entire life.You think i like to annoy you , to tease you but that was my only way to get your attention.I remember the first time this idiot"
he pointed at Abhay, who in turn raised his had in surrender.
"introduced me to you.I was mesmorized and stunned but you , you didn't even looked at me twice"
He moved his hand to my hairs ,tucking them behind my ear.His simple gesture made me shiver down.
"Freedom, you think i gave u this name to tease you but trust me it is the truth of my life .You are my Freedom , an escape from everything."
He know me too well.He slowly bent down on his knee
"Freedom , i tease you , i irritate you but I love you"
It was surreal.I had tears in my eyes,this was soo damn good to be true ,yet it is true.He got up and looked at me .I didn't say anything, i wasn't capable of at that time.So i hugged him with all my might.My head resting on his chest, i can hear his heart beating frantically and i'm sure mine was the same.His chin was resting on my head.It was perfect.Suddenly he pulled himself and i immediately felt cold missing his warmth.
"Freedom , Be Mine"
The cocky him was back.He knew he didn't need to ask.Everyone was looking at me expectantly.
"I am yours only, forever and always"
i said softly .
"Forever and always ??"
"Yeah!! I am not planning to leave you soon , you teased to way too much.Now its payback time"
He just laughed and again pulled me in embrace , his arms encircling my waist ,sending a tingling sensation to my body.
The crowd hooted like no tomorrow .
"Finally, he got enough guts to ask you out "
Abhay teased.
The end
