Yes. Because the structure is like value added tax where instead of being charged sales tax on final price it’s only on the difference between cost and selling price at each stage. It’s effectively Lower tax assuming it was same or lower sales tax rate before.

Yes, I understand the basic structure but people like family members or others who criticize GST needs numbers, they don't understand technical terms.
