What I am arguing is don't give the BJP (nor anyone else for that matter) your votes for free. Force them to work for it! Just b'cos you've gotten the Ayodhya 🛕 is no reason to just close your eyes & vote for them. Make it clear to them that this is a continuous process, and that they have to support Varanasi, Mathura, and indeed repeal the Waqf law & the Places of Worship laws if they want your guaranteed support. Oh, and they have to implement NRC/NPR: simply saying CAA will not do (and even that is a sham: Rohingya & Bangladeshi muslims are easily settling in Hindu majority areas like Jammu, Delhi, et al while Paki Hindus struggle, whether it's in Jodhpur or Delhi, and some have even returned to Pakistan in despair)

Look at how muslims get their demands noticed. They make their support available to whoever supports them in any situation. So in UP, it's Samajwadi Party. In WB, it's Trinamul, even though they have Indian Secular Front there. In Telengana, it's Congress or BRS, even though Owaisi's AIMIM is there. And so on. They don't lock their support to just 1 party: they make it available to anybody willing to work for it

In the past, the only party that was at all interested in Hindu votes was the BJP. But now, BJP thinks they have a monopoly on Hindu votes, and are looking to expand to muslim, or other (Hindu) secular votes. Put a price tag on that: make it clear to the BJP that for every move they make to the Left, there is N% of Hindu votes they'll lose. Force them to put a limit to how far they're willing to go on their triptikaran policies

Also, talking about Congress, it's worth noting that in 1986, they were willing to open up the locks to the Babri and work w/ VHP in building a 🛕, but the latter was more interested in the political fortunes of the BJP. In fact, to date, Rajiv Gandhi is the only prime minister of India who promised a Ram Rajya. Of course, today's Congress is virulently anti-Hindu, and reminiscent of the muslim league, but it wasn't always like that. While the entire Nehru/Gandhi family was more often than not anti-Hindu, Rajiv Gandhi was a notable exception. I voted against the Congress in 1989 and 1991, but looking back at it today, I regret those votes. Since I voted for the Janata Dal in 1989 and BJP/Shiv Sena in 1991. I also think, looking back, that it's sad that the only prime minister who promised Ram Rajya was rejected when he ran on that, and assassinated 2 years later

Anyway, back to today: if you find the BJP doing things that you find distasteful, like encouraging non-Hindus or beef-eating Hindus to enter 🛕, or things of that sort, one way of disciplining them is by voting NOTA/not voting for them. That's one of the reasons I'm advocating Ekam Sanatan Bharat

I am not crediting BJP entirely for the decision of supreme court but do you think if congress was in power judgement of reconstruction of Ram mandir would have come in favor of Hindus...I dont think so. I am not saying BJP influenced but I meant a power in central govt who supports the cause is required. However its true that lot of legal battles were fought for the construction of temple and the credit goes to all who were involved in fighting these battles on ground and in court.

And now coming back to BJP/I.N.D.I.A or any new parties...First of all I am not a supporter of congress or BJP...but we need someone at center who can develop the nation.

Many didn't vote BJP for Just Hindu sentiments...ppl voted for development and I can see it happening...

However I am not completely satisfied with the BJP rule ....They could have annulled roshni, strictly implement CAA ...they could have introduced NRC...I can leave all this but the places of worship act could have been amended ...UCC could have been introduced but they are taking way too long to get this done...I dont think they will amend Places of worship but with their manifesto I do believe they will work on UCC...

But coming back to supporting new parties...I have a different approach to look at these things...each vote matters...no one would support a new party...ground work should be done and ppl should see what they can do...until and unless they prove or come in mainstream ppl wont support them...

I wont be comfortable voting for a newly founded party when I know it wont yield the result of them taking power in center...Though their agenda/manifesto aligns and resonates with many people, If ppl know that they will neither be in center nor can take the role of opposition, many will not support them considering "Each and Every vote matters"

For me the national interest matters...at present there are 2 parties contesting for Loksabha...NDA and I.N.D.I.A which is already crumbling...not sure if this alliance still remains intact till Loksabha however the truth is someone out of these 2 alliance will be our PM.

BJP/I.N.D.I.A are not sane all are playing politics ...So I think we as voters need to analyze and vote for a slightly good party among these two existing parties...

40% Hindus know it's a 🛕 but wanna make nice w/ muslims, thinking that the latter will reciprocate. They refuse to look at history anywhere in the world to see when has that ever happened!

What's with Hinduism vs Buddhism debate going on?smiley5

I've always thought Buddhism reached its end due to the conflicting branches that no longer coincided with the OG principles and then there was intermixing of jain, Buddhist and Vedic philosophies eg. Idolatry. I'm not that well versed in theology but I always thought religions born on our land can co-exist.

Resurrection of old temples doesn't mean societal evils like untouchability would be resurrected as well. Article 13(?) of constitution is there to ensure that. Constitution remains the supreme law of sanctity.... Can anyone explain this debate to me?smiley18smiley24

Are we talking traditional Buddhists (say Vajrayana Buddhists in Sikkim or Mahayana Buddhists in Ladakh) or Neo-Buddhists (Ambedkarite Dalit converts)? There is a major difference

In a way everyone.... What are converted people afraid of when old Hindu temples are being reclaimed? How are Hindus responsible for decline of Buddhism? I always believed there was intermixing of faith but people talk as if there was huge propoganda!!

I don't think it's everyone. Traditional Buddhists, be it Sikkimese or Ladakhians, or even our neighbors - Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Burma.... don't have any chips-on-their-shoulders vis a vis Hindus. Not even in Nepal, which has only Hindus & Buddhists & where one might expect the 2 communities to be at least adversaries

Ambedkar converts are another story altogether, since they're obsessed w/ caste, as well as w/ historic revenge, pretty much similar to the BLM movement in the US, which is obsessed w/ combating "Whiteness"! In fact, now in US colleges, they're importing these Ambedkar/Periyar ideologies and targeting GC Hindus, regardless of whether we're caste conscious or not

This is not a Buddhist vs Hindu issue. It's a woke DEI/Ambedkarite/Periyarite vs Hindu issue

Yeah I think so too it's a total different issue, that's why I couldn't find any reliable source for this whole Buddhism vs Vedic brahmanism.
