This story is showed in Today's episode of Crime Patrol
http://www.rediff.com/news/report/kanpur-postman-gets-clean-chit-in-embezzlement-case-after-29-years/20131203.htm
Very sad incident... for Rs 57 a postman and his family's life is srewed up in poverty...
That too a false accusation.
This incident shows Indian law is so weak. If any of the party doesn't attend court they should be heavily fined..So that nobody takes court and law for granted...

I can't believe it took 29 years for this man to get justice!!! This is the height of injustice! I hope him and his family get the salary and benefits that they deserve.

And the funny thing is that the postman doesn't end a few hearings because of problems and he gets arrested. But these "witnesses" don't attend court even once and there's not so much as a warning for them.

Justice late is justice denied. Its sick to think that it took 29 years to get him so called "justice" This case snatched everything from him but no one cared. The so called "system" is rubbish and sick. Witnesses dont come nothing happens to them but if he misses a few sessions they arrest him!

What kind of justice is this? Was this really justice?

Did he really get proper justice? The whole system made a mockery of his respect.

It is said that we should trust our justice system. But why should we trust if such things happen? And such things are quite common. There are many people in India who are under-trials for years. Absolutely nothing is being done to improve this rotten system.

The case proved that Indian Law System is totally hopeless...😡
No Scope for Justice at all...

Thumbs Down to the Post-Master for producing 4 kids. 2 kids after he had NO job to feed them.
The death of his kids was NOT accident but MURDER by the parents.

Hi,

In this case of "theft" amounting Rs.57.60, I'm intrigued to see the how easy it was to ignore the incompetence of the defending lawyer. Is/ was there no clause to dismiss this case anytime earlier than this? Why there's no law which can hold professionals responsible towards any undoing towards their clients? Was that even investigated? Are there any chances that the lawyer was just milking his client for money?

Hope crime patrol investigates and brings this forward to the broader community.

Regards,
B
