SWOT - West Indies vs Australia
SWOT - West Indies
Strengths: The Windies are getting better with each game. Gayle is coming back into form, Chanderpaul is consistent and Lara is managing his bowling well.
Weaknesses: Fielding is still a concern. Middle order looks suspect against top class bowing.
Opportunities: Playing at home, the Windies can use their support to put the Aussies under early pressure.
Threats: Australia is looking lethal. Any sign of weakness and the Windies will be rolled over.
SWOT – Australia
Strengths: Crushing batting. Gilchrist and Hayden seem to have hit the purple patch, and Ricky Ponting is devastating. Michael Clarke is among runs and Andrew Symonds is back.
Weaknesses: Bowling. McGrath is not what he used to be and without Brett Lee, the sting is missing. Oh Warney, why did you retire?
Opportunities: Australia has already put contender South African in its place, now it can do the same to the Windies.
Threats: West Indies have a very good record against Australia, and there's that man Brian Lara.
