Pitch Report: There is a bias to one side, 59m as opposed to 50m. 65m hit straight down the ground. This is pitch no.5 and GG will have good memories of playing on this surface against the UP Warriorz. There is some grass covering but there are patchy areas. The bowlers may get some help and the spinners might extract some turn. There are runs on offer, says Stacy-Ann King. The atmospheric conditions will play a part, with dew probably coming into the equation later in the game. Protecting the shorter boundary and making batters hit to the longer one will be the way to go for the bowlers.

The opening spot alongside Mooney has been a bit of a musical chairs this season and it will be interesting to see who walks out to open. The TV graphic has Deol carded as the opener, but it could well be Hemalatha alongside Mooney. Just the one change for the Capitals, on the other hand, with youngster Shree Charani, who was excellent on her debut against RCB, sitting out for Sadhu. Could be a tactical call and an indication that DC are expecting more help for the seamers.
