Batting second or batting first didn't matter, India have outplayed England yet again and this time by a whopping 142 runs to make it 3-0. England have not just lost, they have been really poor with bat, ball and strategy. Today they did things right for a fair bit. They won the toss and rightly bowled with history heavily favouring chasing teams here. They started well with the ball but couldn't contain Gill and Virat after the powerplay. Rashid was a lone warrior while the most went the distance. They conceded a 350+ total but with their audacious ability with the bat, no total was safe at this venue. An injured Duckett was enough to get them off to a flier and Salt flayed the bat around like he usually does. It was yet another great start from the openers, but it was yet another collapse in the middle overs. Banton was a refreshing sight althought it was short-lived. Few of them got starts but didn't carry on. Atkinson had a bit of fun with the bat to stretch it past 200. Losing 7 wickets for just 67 runs is never going to help!

Shreyas Iyer: In the first game, I wanted to take the momentum after we lost two consecutive wickets, I tried to play the ball on its merit. I just back my instincts and tried to deliver. In the second game, I thought I would finish the game. And today, Shubman and Virat laid a great platform and that helped me to excel. I wish I could have got a hundred. The break I got in between where I was working with the domestic team and I also got opportunity to work on my technique as well and especially the drop-in shots which got me singles, it’s not about cuts and pulls all the time, it's the balls close to the body when you get singles and that's more satisfying for me. The dressing room is electrifying with lots of energy and I feel each and every individual is in great form in the team. I think it’s great to win this series and carry the momentum into the Champions Trophy. You could see in the three games how every individual stepped up for the team. Getting those crucial runs and wickets at the right time was important. We have worked a lot on that and as a unit, we are trying to deliver and create that breakthrough that the team needs in imperative time. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully I will get the award for the best fielder of the series (chuckles).

Shubman Gill is the Player of the Match and the Series: Definitely. I was feeling good. I think this was one of the better knows. The pitch was a bit tricky at the start so it's satisfying. There was a bit for the fast bowlers. It was seaming, so the chat was to rotate strike and not lose wickets in powerplay, build on the momentum and take it from there. You are just reacting to what is coming to you without thinking too much.

Our approach (with bat) is a right one, just that we haven't executed well. They put a great score on the board. Shubman played a great innings.
