Hemant: "This seems a bit like the first session in Perth. It was green but the movement was slow because the pitch was soft underneath. So, they did not knick as many and were able to adjust. As the day progressed, the pitch hardened, reaction times to movement shortened and Australia faced the toughest conditions of the match to lose 7." Perth was quicker than this. But you're right, it got even quicker when it hardened up

I did not expect this soft dismissal. When do we make the opposition bowler work hard to get a wicket?

Three debutants for Australia in the top seven this series - Nathan McSweeny, Sam Konstas, & Beau Webster. The last time Australia have had as many in a series was against Pakistan in UAE in 2018 when Aaron Finch, Travis Head, & Marnus Labuschagne debuted with three first choice players missing out due to Sandpaper-gate. The last time they have had as many in a home series was four against South Africa in 2016 (Callum Ferguson, Matt Renshaw, Nic Maddinson, & Peter Handscomb) which they lost 1-2.

Boland to Jaiswal, OUT

taken by Webster at third slip! Webster has buckets and that ball disappeared. Boland does it again. Pitching outside leg on a good length, Jaiswal tries to push against the angle, it nips across, takes a thick edge and Webster swallows his first Test catch moving knee high to his right

Yashasvi Jaiswal c Webster b Boland 10 (26b 1x4 0x6) SR: 38.46

Is this out? Extraordinary catch if it is! Kohli edges to second slip and Smith dives full stretch low to his right, he gets his hand under it, it bobbles out and flicks up in the air to gully and Labuschagne completes the catch. Although ... Joel Wilson in the third umpire's chair thinks part of the ball might have brushed the ground.

Kohli survived. Will he make it count?
