Right then. India playing four seamers. What's interesting is they've sacrificed batting depth. With Bumrah at No. 8, the onus will be on the batters to deliver. But that's for later. To begin with, they'll look to restrict South Africa to as low a total as possible. There are big cracks that could get bigger with the baking heat. Almost WACA-like in a sense.

Shubman Gill: We've got quite a few days to prepare for this one. This is a new year, new day for us and we are going to come back and make a statement in this Test match. It's very important to be there mentally, you have to let your focus and determination and let your grit take over. It's not so much about the technique, it's more so about the grit and determination. This is a great opportunity for us to level the series and all of us are very well prepared and very well equipped to be able to win this Test match. It's a beautiful ground, lovely to be here, surrounded by the mountains on one side. We are really looking forward for this Test match.

Bumrah to Elgar, no run, Bumrah has his hands on head, Elgar has a wry smile! Yorker, swings in late and Elgar brings his bat down just in time to inside-edge it onto his boot.

Bumrah and Siraj are bowling very well.

Now Siraj got a wicket!!!!

SA lost their first wicket!!!!!!
