5:01pm: A brilliant steady-the-ship effort from Hope and Carty not only rescued West Indies from 91 for 4 but took them to a win without further harm. It was set up by the spinners, Joseph and Seales earlier. Mayers was at his exuberant best early on in the chase. That was before Thakur lorded into the scene. He got the bouncer right to Mayers, capitalised on King being stuck on the back foot and had him lbw, and then did Athanaze in with another bouncer. When Hetmyer, who was all at sea against spin, was dismissed by Kuldeep, India seemed to have gotten back into ascendancy. But Carty and Hope toughed it out against the pacy spin of Jadeja and Axar and the loopier variety from Kuldeep. They ran diligently and rotated strike to whittle the target. Hope got past fifty with the end in sight. The duo got through Thakur and Hardik's last crack and Carty narrowly missed out on fifty but saw West Indies through to their first win against India in over three years.

Hardik Pandya | India captain: We didn't bat in the way we were supposed. The wicket got much better than the first innings. Disappointing, but got to learn many more things. The way the openers batted, the way Kishan batted, it's important for Indian cricket. Thakur kept our hopes alive. Hope batted well, they held their nerves and got over the line. I have to bowl more overs to get ready for the World Cup. Being a turtle at the moment, not a rabbit. Hoping everything goes well during the World Cup. They will be tested, we will be tested now that the series stands 1-1. The next game will be exciting for the viewers as well as the players.

Shai Hope, POTM and WI captain: I'm happy as long as my contributions lead to the win. When things are difficult, you gotta find ways to score quickly. So you gotta run hard, we got twos which helped. Very satisfied, the aim was to get back to the series. We gotta win one more and need to come back strongly. We gotta put in the effort and today we displayed the right attitude, need to replicate that in all disciplines. It was a complete performance.

West Indies - 1 | India - 1. One would have anticipated India will win this ODI series by a 3-0 margin, but that isn't going to be the case as West Indies have bounced back in style. Hardik Pandya mentioned at the toss that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will probably return for the third ODI, so you can expect a much better performance from India in the series decider. The action now moves to Trinidad where the third ODI will be played, so make sure to join us on 1st August for the live coverage of the series decider. For now, it's a goodbye from our side!! Good night and take care!

India vs West Indies, 2nd ODI: Romario Shepherd, Gudakesh Motie Shine In West Indies' Series-Levelling Win Over IndiaShai Hope led from the front with an unbeaten half-century as West Indies defeated India by six wickets in the second ODI and bring the three-match series on an even keel in Bridgetown on Saturday.

Shai Hope led from the front with an unbeaten half-century as West Indies defeated India by six wickets in the second ODI and bring the three-match series on an even keel in Bridgetown on Saturday. Hope (63 not out; 80 balls) found a fine ally in Keacy Carty (48 not out; 65b) as the duo put together 91 runs (118b) for the fourth wicket to steady their 182-run chase. WI reached the target with 80 balls to spare. In absence of skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India's batting looked feeble.
