1.09pm The ground staff preparing for more action, and here they come again... rain stops play. Might be a bit early for India to declare here, even as their lead is now up to 301. So another period of waiting and watching is upon us.

I think the more it rains, the more it will raise India's intent and shorten the target they might be thinking of setting. The rain is heavy as we speak.

1.20pm This rain is heavier and steadier than the spells we have had so far. So this delay could be longer.

1.30pm I bring better news. The rain has stopped. The sun is out. But there is a lot of water on the covers, and some puddles on the outfield. So this will take a little bit of work from the ground staff.

"India should declare right away if they wanna have a chance of winning this game. Forecast for tomorrow is pretty grim" Naresh M, it is easy for us to say but they have skin in the game. Having said that, I won't be surprised if they declare soon. A lot depends on how long it takes to resume play.
