3.56pm It is almost as if ages have gone by since Kishan fell for 210. India post their fourth-highest ODI total. An innings of complete authority from just 131 balls, with 24 fours and ten sixes meant 156 of his runs came off boundaries; and so the fastest ODI 150 and 200 followed. All that may have put Kohli's attacking 113 off 91 deliveries into oblivion, as he notched up his first ODI hundred since August 2019.

Kishan demonstrates what modern white-ball batting is: a mix of confidence and fearlessness. This innings may go a long way in shaping India's ODI line-up in the times to come, with massive competition among openers already.

India end with 409. And how many times would you feel a little disappointed by that? India managed to score only 70 runs in the last 10 overs. And hence have ended with a total which doesn't threaten the 450 mark. But the day belonged to Kishan. He came. He saw. He hit fours and sixes at will. India were hurting from the losses. But Kishan didn't have much baggage and must have been following some bazballism. His double ton was his maiden ODI ton and was the quickest double ton in ODIs. And amidst all the hullabaloo, Virat Kohli etched out a ton for himself. His first in almost three years ensured India just piled on the misery on the Bangladesh bowlers. And just for the record, Kishan was replacing Rohit Sharma who of course knows a thing or two about double tons in ODIs. The bowling, well, what can be said when someone just unleashes himself like this. The chaseis on!

Muntasir: "I know its hard to find anything positive abt a bowling performance when a team scores 400 in ODI but i really admire how the BD bowlers kept their head up and kept running in. I have a feeling we might have a exciting 2nd innings as well"
