i have deleted a notepad file from my laptop

it was there in my documents

is there any way i can get it back ?

i have searched online

but no software gives notepad files back

can some one please help

i am using win 7 64 bit

You can check in the Recycle Bin but I am assuming you have done that already.

There are certain programs that allow you to recover files that you have accidentally deleted. I suggest you try Recuva https://www.piriform.com/recuva (the free trial is good enough).

This only applies if at any point you had saved the file. If you were just typing without saving it and closed the document, then you can't recover it. But since you said it was saved in your Documents folder this should recover the file.

thanks a lot for the suggestion

but all i got was system files

no note pad file

may be they cannot be recovered

any way thanks for the help
