I wish he would have first watched this weeks epi and then commented about Kapil and the rest of his cast.

It felt as the new cast was trying soo hard that instead of comedy it became sumthing entirely boring and dull. I couldn't tolerate it for more than 5 mins and then flipped the channel. It was that bad!!

Now, Colors CEO Raj Nayak, for the first time, has opened up about the whole matter and why the show went off air. In an interview to Delhi Times, Nayak said, "Kapil Sharma was on television for over 10 years, first on Laughter Challenge and then on Comedy Circus before he did Comedy Nights with us. He is a nice person and is extremely talented. We gave him a platform and co-created Comedy Nights with him. It was the channel's decision to call it Comedy Nights With Kapil (originally the show was to be titled Comedy Nights), as we felt that it would give him a sense of ownership and his loyalty to the show would be 100%.We even helped him set up his production company . The success of the show meant that we had a person who suddenly became a star and found it difficult to manage his success. He started renegotiating and asking for more money which we gave, but the more important and worrying thing was that he violated his contract by hosting shows on competitive channels in spite of having an exclusive contract with Colors for TV , which we felt was not ethical."

Nayak also expressed how tough it was for the channel to let go of Kapil and his show. He said, "In a normal course, no channel would let go of a good show. But it has to also be economically viable and more importantly, business s has to be conducted in an ethical manner. For many reasons, the decision to let Kapil go has been very tough. It has been an emotional show for us. Together, Kapil and our creative team created magic. He is extremely talented, probably one of the best of this genre. We never asked him to go. He was not happy with us and implied that we couldn't have another comedy show on the channel. That was unacceptable to us. He chose to walk out. He is a nice guy being misled, I guess, by the people around him for their own survival. I am very fond of him and feel really sad to see him go."

That's sweet as well as sad. Let's hope they sort out their differences soon.

Must say much well spoken then the arrogant Krushna

what response should I give when u didn't respond to my previous posts and keep assuming stuff about kapil and how the whole thing went when u have no real info regarding it.

u r saying kapil was upset because of bachao and I already pointed out that the problem started way back when the channel didn't give him 'leave' when he asked for it to shoot yrf movies.

the channel didn't give him saturday off either

the channel didn't allow him to take a break for few months

do u not see all this or are u just gonna repeat the same nonsense over and over again?

really, who are u? krishna or kashmeera? 😆

how do u know he didn't invite him huh? maybe krishna refused to show up just like he refused to act in comedy nights with kapil because he wasn't the lead.

now who is insecure of whom? if krishna wasn't then he would have acted in kapils show which he didn't

krishna talking about competition and kapil running away from competition when they have actually done comedy circus and every damn season kapil won while krishna didn't so why would kapil have problem with so called competition and be insecure?

in short u don't like kapil and spewing out your own negativity and bias and it shows

Saw CNL , Damn was it worse than CNWK. 😵 Horrible. Bachchao is much better than this CNL. How long can they cash in on Bharathi's stale jokes.
And what a waste to call Madhuri and not even let her speak for 5 mins. She was just smiling on stage.

Raj Nayak's interview with ToI pretty much explains story of colors side.
Kapil was busy with movies, he could only shoot for one episode a week. So the other day's slot became open and colors got another comedy show for that and Kapil wasn't happy with it.
Also for one episode itself Kapil was demanding twice the money they used to pay him earlier.
When TRPs of CNWK were going down, Colors creative team wanted to make some changes but Kapil didn't bother.
To me it seems, Kapil wanted to part ways with Colors and had some heavy offer in hand. 😛
He played it quite smart and now everyone is blaming Colors for letting him go. 😆
