^ I don't hate CID. I love watching the episodes prior to 2006 or so. But since then the quality has declined. Watch an episode from pre-2006 and then compare it to this weekend's episodes and you'll know what I mean.

The story line of both episodes we're unique and amazing. Much better than 2000 era episodes. I think the episodes in 2018 are much better

And if you want to criticize better not comment here

I liked Daya in it as well. I feel they've really segregated some of the areas of expertise, but not everything just yet. Like Purvi was given all the tech responsibilities. I remember I saw a glimpse of an episode in May when I was in India and there too Purvi was given the tech work. Freddy is more for the foot investigation. He seems to be the one who is handed the job of going out to a scene to look for clues. Pankaj has been given the people task. He handles the follow-ups to witnesses/suspects. The trio are the only ones who seem to interchange. Sometimes Daya is the sharpshooter, sometimes Abhijeet. Sometimes Daya is the one to go undercover, sometimes Abhijeet. And so on.

I'm guessing this netaji was actually an important minister, like Finance or Defense, else why would he meet John Harris on drones? I would have liked some more clarity on this part, but I made my own inferences and I didn't mind so much. I was just glad he wasn't involved. For a minute I suspected him even.

I highly agree with you the quality of episodes earlier was lit

Present episodes don't have that

I expected much bore from this episode

But yes duo investigation part was really good

Also you have whole right to criticize don't listen anyone

I would love to discuss episodes with you in future

Okay so guys I am the only one who feels the bond that use to be there in CID team in episodes is missing

Like ih old episodes with investigation there use to be emotions too

Especially duo moments they don't give us duo moments at all there come many chances where they could have shown duo or team moments

This really piss me off😕

What do y'all think??

You are perfectly right. There is no emotional bonding at all. Which made CID different from any other show. It showed characters human side & I really used to like it. Then they started OTTing it & then audience criticized. Now they don't show OTT. (Till the time I watched. I haven't watched CID for many weeks now.) But episodes are quite cold & boring.

Agreed with both of you, but I feel it's twofold. One is like you said Kulasya. It became OTT and so they completely stopped.

But the other is also that so many shows are doing it now and to some extent better than CID. For example, P.I. on Star Plus had good human emotional bonding between the inspector and the student Raffe. Or Arjun on Star Plus had a proper back story to each character that wasn't changed at whim and fancy of the writer. Or Dev which is now returning with a second season. Yeah all these characters have similar backgrounds, but their backgrounds remain intact and aren't played around with again and again.

CID may have been the first show to start the emotional bonding between the officers, but other shows have picked up on it and learnt from FW's mistakes. Maybe FW has realized this and decided to completely get rid of these moments.

Tbh the only OTT thing I felt was romantic angle

It was so unnecessary

Like we have always seen Abhijeet as Angry young man but then they added tarika angle they made him a flirtatious cheesy and I seriously can't like that

They could have handled it well like they did at time of Shruti series

But finally they removed it and made it like old times

I hope they start focusing on duo friendship again

I seriously miss old days and their bond😭

PS - I am a huge duo fan😎😉😆

So I don't like romantic angle😭
