CID Written Update: Khatarnak Jungle : 28th August, 2016

A group of people are in the jungle, apparently waiting to see a leopard, to catch which they'd obtained permission. They flicker on the lights to check their condition. Finding it right, they put it off and of the girls in the group, yawns and falls asleep asking the rest to wake her up in case of anything. After sometime, they hear the roar of a leopard. Startled, they gather and switch on the lights and then we see a man's feet and he fires a bullet. They panic and Rahul, Naina and the other guy take the car and hurry outside. Naina remembers that they have left Vanshika and Sameer behind. Rahul asks to go back and rescue them, but the other two persuade him against it. After some time, one woman, who turns out to be Sheena, Rahul's colleague, tells Rahul that they would encounter a silver car with a bleeding woman, whose husband would be asking for help, and warns them to proceed on without stopping the car. As Sheena said, they find the car. Naina finds no wound on the lady and the couple and the two parties have a fight, during which the trigger goes off and we hear a scream.

Vanshika wakes conscious the next morning and is shocked to find herself perched on a tree. She recollects the previous night's events and climbs down and remembers Sameer and goes to look for him. She finds Sameer stirring to consciousness. They push off the leeches on him and Sameer says that the other three have left them to die in the forest and tells Vanshika that they have to get out of there first. They reach the road. They find smoke arising from somewhere. Thinking it to come from a nearby village, they head forward only to find something horrifying. We see a burnt hand.

The team is here and Sameer recounts the events of the previous night. The team finds 3 sets of footprints, now filled with water and an oily substance (according to Abhijeet) and guess that the three people must have been there watching the humans ablaze. Shreya finds a chain with an "R" pendant and Vanshika identifies it as Rahul's. Abhijeet asks Sameer to call Abhay and Naina's house to find out if they reached. But it turns out that they had not. They take the debris to the forensic lab.

Tarika tells that the person was burnt with petrol. Salunkhe sir tells that the mud near the footprints had saw dust, a kind of thing that was rare in the forests and also the oily substance that they found was turpentine oil - oil used in the wood industry.

They take a tracker along with them and he leads them inside the forest after Abhijeet explains the case to him. They find footprints and follow the direction. The tracker explains to them, when they reach a place full of small plants that seemed tramped on, that the person couldn't perceive things clearly and so he tramped on them. As they move further, they find petrol can. They proceed onward and they find Rahul's car with the doors open. The mat is blood stained and they also find a cut finger just beside the tire. Sameer and Vanshika say that it is not Naina's. The tracker leads them onward telling them that when a leopard targets its prey, the other birds and animals make a peculiar kind of noise to signify the same. At that time, they hear this sound coming from a direction ahead of them and they proceed onward. They find the marks of someone being dragged and then they find Naina and Abhay, alive but unconscious.

In the hospital, Naina cries in disbelief. Abhay tells that Rahul did not listen to him when he told him to not stop the car. Abhay recounts the incident upto which we saw on the screen and adds that when they found that it was fake, many goons had come and the husband guy was talking in weird languages. Having caught hold of Rahul, they held him tightly and then Abhay says that he and Naina ran to save their lives, during which someone hit Abhay from the back and he falls unconscious. Abhijeet shows them the picture of the cut finger and Naina identifies it as Sheena's and she also remembers their attackers' faces. The duo asks them to help them to sketch their faces. Pankaj enters saying that Rahul's family was outside. Rahul's uncle tells that Rahul was very happy that he was going with his friends. Daya notices that he is quite injured and questions him to whom he answers saying that he fell down. Daya captures a picture of a tattoo on his neck. Daya tells Abhijeet that the guy was more scared than grieved. Abhijeet asks Shreya to find out about the place where the fake accident had occurred - Jamada Milestone.

In the bureau, Shreya tells that whatever Naina said was true and points to a tree where a silver mark is there. Daya enters the bureau telling that Sheena had not returned since the previous night, and that the neighbours had last seen her the previous evening leaving in her scooty with an orange raincoat on. Daya adds that their guesses might be right and that Rahul might have been murdered yesterday and also that Sheena must have been taken captive by the killers. They listen to the statements again and decide to find out. They also decide to find out about the turpentine oil.

They go investigating every other shop and the man in one shop recognizes the "tere pe" from the statement. The man tells his name to be Bhuvan who worked there for some days and that he uses the words when he is angry. We see Bhuvan coming to a tea shop, trailed by CID. As he waits, he gets a call that warns him that CID is trailing him and to leave the place immediately. He leaves the place. The man goes to a dilapidated factory where we see Sheena tied up. They are about to kill her when the team intervenes. We have an action scene there. Bhuvan then tells that he was paid to kill Sheena and that he does not know anything apart from that.

In the bureau, Dr. Salunkhe proves that Rahul's uncle had been to the jungle the previous night where a poisonous spider had bit him. The man confesses that he had been to the jungle with a gun, to save Rahul, but the arrival of the leopard had scared him and he tried to escape and he had fallen down and sustained the wound. Abhijeet asks Sheena why she had been there to save Rahul. She says that Rahul had once saved her dad by unquestioningly giving 10 lakh rupees and so she wanted to save his life even it meant losing her own. She recounts the other day in office when she was leaving that she heard voices in the parking lot. When she listened closely she heard clearly that they were planning to kill Rahul. Sheena also says that she had confided this in Rahul's uncle to get his help, and Rahul's uncle tells that he could not find out who was plotting to kill his nephew. They then get the CCTV footage of the parking lot area and Daya finds that the man kept taking his hand to his nose often. They call everyone.

One by one, everyone in the bureau tells the proof of their alibi. The killer finally turns out to be Abhay. Daya slaps him and he confesses that he had planned everything and killed Rahul. He tells that Rahul had given him 10 crores to start a business and when he couldn't return it in the stipulated time due to some reasons, Rahul had taken over his company and made him the manager - something he couldn't bear seeing, and so he killed him.
