Salil's fate undecided
Salil Ankola |
The injunction by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday restraining Salil Ankola from appearing on any programme other than the ones produced by Balaji has not ruffled feathers at Sony or Endemol. He is at present locked up in the house as part of the 'Bigg Boss' (Sony) show.
With the legal team at Sony yet to receive the court order, chief creative head Sandiip Sikcand says, "This kind of news is good for the show. It is a different kind of enjoyment as it only helps us gain more eyeballs."
Stating clearly that the legal team is working on possibilities, Sikcand adds, "We are not worried if Salil has to be out of the house. We are equipped to handle such situations."
Endemol India, MD, Rajesh Kamat, is similarly relaxed about the development saying, "This is expected on a reality show. We have a clause that allows for wild card entries and replacements on the show so as the matter becomes more clear to us, we will decide the course of action."
Saying that this show is the biggest ever from the point of logistics and production, Rajesh adds, "We are considering airing a late night version of the 'intriguing' happenings inside the house. All the celebs have undergone psychiatric tests. There is a complete record of their likes and dislikes and the choice of celebs is determined, keeping these factors in mind."
Presently, Salil has not been informed of the the court order and is completing his tasks as ordered by the Bigg Boss.
