well I don't know too much but as much I know about forces that They Cross check a person's background,his family,friends and his company,about his activities in school and college when they select him for a department like CID so they didn't come to know about him being a suspect though was only suspect...

and for Survi she was may be his College friend and he didn't tell his mother too that he was interested with her
