Scene 1
Continued from the final scene of yesterday's episode. Nikhil finds a little boy and brings him to our trio. The boy says his nana-nani have gone missing in Mathura and requests them to help him.
Scene 2
The scene switches to a panoramic view of Mathura and then a house where we see an elderly couple being held hostage, and a lady tied up in a chair in another room. Outside we hear bells ringing in a temple, and a long-haired guy begins to make his way through the alleys discreetly, hiding his face with a newspaper. He unlocks the gate to the above house and enters, threatening to kill the the old couple unless sign some documents and hand over all their money and property to him. The old man insists that he wishes to donate all his property to charities. The long-haired guy asks his goons to bring in their son-in-law whom they've apparently captured and tortured. The son-in-law requests them not to grant the thugs' wishes, and gets beaten up. The old man's wife asks him to do as the thugs say, but he's adamant and defies them. The long-haired man then asks for their daughter to be brought in.
Meanwhile we see their daughter Subhadra (the lady tied up in another room) managing to bite off the ropes binding her, and sneaking through the house and up the stairs. The goons arrive and find her missing.
Scene 3
We see our trio and Purvi di with a guy Rishi who is a close friend of the kid's father Ajay, who entrusted his son to Rishi while he went to look for his parents, who had gone missing in Mathura after going there for pilgrimage. And then, Ajay's phone abruptly went off as well. He says one local inspector Sandeep Pandey is waiting for them at the shanty dharmashala. Our cops meet Sandeep at the dharmashala, who reveals that the boy's parents and nana-nani alike had stayed at this very place, and disappeared from there. The team enters the dharmashala and proceeds to inspect their room.
Scene 4
We see Subhadra making her way cautiously through the rooftops and finally emerging out onto the road, where she gathers people and requests them to help save her parents. (Good job by the actress. 👏) They're suspicious, but agree to help and she leads them to the house where she had been imprisoned. On seeing the house, the crowd is shocked and angered since it belongs to one Tripathi ji who's apparently a very respected man there. Subhadra insists she and her husband and parents had been imprisoned right in there for 3 days. Deciding to give her a chance, the people call out Tripathi and his family and explain what's going on.
All of them act politely shocked and ask Subhadra not to defame them unnecessarily. She shows them rope marks on her wrists and insists she's telling the truth. The people get confused and Tripathi agrees to let her check the house. They go inside but the chair and ropes used to imprison her are missing. Subhadra insists this is the very place she was held hostage, and recalls seeing a painting and potted plants there but even they are nowhere to be seen. The people apologize to Tripathi for suspecting him. Subhadra insists she's telling the truth and requests for a mobile saying she wishes to talk to her son.
Scene 5
Back at the dharmashala, the team comes out and the dharmashala owner Dubey says the missing people weren't kidnapped but left of their own accord along with their luggage. However, Sandeep points out that an unknown man had first taken the nana-nani with him and then the couple. Rishi says Ajay had called him for that very reason. Suddenly he gets a call from Subhadra explaining about how she was kidnapped and held hostage, and they need to save Ajay and she's presently in Chatta Bazaar. He lets her speak to her son and informs ACP sir.
Scene 6
Back outside Tripathi's house, Subhadra insists Tripathi is a liar and the crowd gets agitated and decides to get her arrested. At this point the CID team arrives along with Rishi and her son, and she tells them everything. The CID meets Tripathi, who says Subhadra is trying to defame him. They go inside the house and Subhadra explains that she had been imprisoned in the room above the stairs. Purvi di notices Tripathi's granddaughter looking scared. Abruptly, ACP sir says that Tripathi is right and Subhadra seems to be mistaken, and despite her indignation and the duo's insists that they check the room, decides to move out.
Scene 7
We see the trio and Purvi di along with Subhadra in a boat; the latter is shocked that ACP sir isn't believing her. He says that Tripathi seems to be a respected man and unlikely to intentionally hold anyone hostage in his house, and says they need to find out why they did it, pointing out that everybody in the family look glum. Subhadra says all she remembers was sleeping in the dharmashala, and then she awoke in the room tied up. ACP sir says they'll surely find her parents and Ajay. The duo says ACP sir is surely upto some plan, and Daya sir gets a call from Sachin sir and Pankaj saying they've arrived.
Scene 8
Sachin sir and Pankaj arrive in Mathura via boat, and Pankaj decides to visit a temple there.
Scene 9
We see Tripathi's granddaughter buying groceries at a store, looking nervous and then making her way back home. She runs into Purvi di who's disguised as a chemistry teacher and her groceries fall on the ground. The latter apologizes and picks them up for her, but the girl is agitated and even refuses to accept replacements, saying she can't go home now. When asked if there's someone bad at her home, the girl gets clearly scared. Purvi di identifies herself and reassures her, saying they're ready to help.
They go to a nearby terrace and the girl explains that two thugs have entered their house and are holding her grandparents hostage in the house. Subhadra was telling the truth and they lied about her because the gundas have kidnapped her brother in Hyderabad, and daily call them threatening to kill him if they help the police. Purvi di promises that they'll do everything to ensure that her brother and family are saved, and asks for the Hyderabad number from which the gundas call them. The girl provides the same. (Really liked this scene. Wonderful performance by Ansha di once again. 👏 👏)
Scene 10
We see the team on phone while the trio informs Dubey that they've obtained numbers of all the 120 people who had stayed at his dharmashala. Sachin sir calls up ACP sir's friend ACP Nagesh in Hyderabad. ACP sir informs him about the kidnapper who calls from Hyderabad and instructs to have him captured as soon as possible. Pankaj says that he's not able to contact one particular number despite trying many times. Abhijeet sir decides to check this person up.
Scene 11
We see the team meeting Subhadra. She says the gunda who had threatened her looked familiar; he seemed to be staying at the dharmashala as well and didn't seem to be there on a pilgrimage. Pankaj gets a call and is informed that the mysterious number's owner hails from Surat. Subhadra is shocked and says they're from Surat as well. Daya sir enters saying that thug is in Mathura only, at one Vishram bazaar. ACP sir tells them to nab him.
Scene 12
Our duo visits the bazaar, enquires at various places about the thug and finally tracks him down. The guy scoots on a motorbike, and Daya sir engages him in a lengthy pursuit on his own bike through the streets and alleys. Abhijeet sir cleverly takes a detour and kicks him off the bike while he passes, and they catch him. (Incredibly filmed scene and the duo was just superb! 👏 👏) After some not-so-gentle interrogation, the guy confesses they'd been paid in Surat to kidnap the elderly couple, hold them hostage in Mathura and torture them. Abhijeet sir demands for his boss' identity.
Scene 13
We see Purvi di operating a computer while ACP sir, Sachin sir and Pankaj watch; ACP Nagesh Rao captured the Hyderabad thug and makes a video call to our team allowing them to interrogate the guy. The guy confesses his boss had ordered him to kidnap Tripathi's grandson and make a threatening call to the family everyday. He shows his boss' photo, who turns out to be none other than Ajay. He says he's staying at some old dharmashala.
Scene 14
The same team breaks into the dharmashala and finds all rooms locked, and Ajay's corpse in one of the rooms. ACP sir gets a call from Daya sir informing that the captured gunda told them that the nana-nani have been taken to a forest at the banks of the Yamuna.
Scene 15
We see the gundas preparing to bury the old couple alive. The latter beg to spare them and Subhadra and Ajay, and agree to sign the property papers as demanded. The mastermind is seen laughing there, clearly in disguise with a fake wig and beard. The couple signs the papers, and the gundas gloatingly reveal that they've already murdered Ajay, and now will shoot them. The CID team arrives on time to disarm him and engage the thugs in a heavy fight, which culminates in them emerging victorious. ACP sir assures Subhadra's parents that their daughter and grandson are safe. The mastermind's disguise is ripped off and he turns out to be Rishi. Daya sir hands him a tight slap.
Rishi says that he found out Ajay himself kidnapped his wife and her parents in order to usurp their property, and left Rishi to take care of his son. So he got greedy, murdered Ajay and signed off all the property to an organization owned by himself. He tries to bribe the CID. The team smiles and pretends to consider his offer, before Daya sir hands him another crackling slap.
THE END
(For me, despite the below average story this was comparatively the better one of the three episodes, thanks to the team. It had some of everything - trio scenes, duo in action, some good investigation, Didi's disguise scene, some prominence given to Sachin sir and Pankaj was ok too. I liked it thanks to them.)
