1. Roll back CID to it's golden era ( Asha era)..

Sab toh ho chuka hai... ek do main bhi daal deta hoon. 😛 😆 NOM to anyone.

1. We want a CID team. Not a battalion, regiment, army or rugby team. I see no need for the anonymous newbies, taking up space and reducing the already limited screen space of the original cast. So undo that, lest any poor victim they crowd around dies of asphyxia and we have a true CID Giraftaar episode.

2. Tri-weekly system = out. One good episode per week with our famous five, a certain lady cop (no prizes for guessing) and Sachin maximum is what I personally would like.

3. Stories ought to be done by people who know more about a crime thriller than the spelling. They should also know well about the basics of the genre which helped the show gain such popularity and acclaim. They should be familiar with the background of the show and Golden Era episodes. The investigation should be proper and logical.

4. Mutants, aliens, devils, monsters, dragons, dinosaurs, demons, trolls, ogres, leviathans, krakens, witches, wizards, wyverns, Cyclops, Hydras, werewolves, vampires, sphinxes, man-eating trees... and the like, don't exist in the real world. And as such, keep em outta CID as well.

5. Romantic tracks = gone. The maximum I can accept is something like the Abhijeet-Shruti track, if properly done.

6. Do not ruin the characterizations by making them behave completely unlike themselves. The creatives should know them inside out right from day one. Do not mess up their background and history. Avoid creating sour relations and unnecessary conflicts between our beloved characters, none of us like that.

7. Sidelining and bad team distribution should be avoided. You've already lost gems like Vivek, Tasha and Rajat because of that, learn something from it. Give the cops good roles they deserve.

8. Our famous five have almost single-handedly supported the show since for 17+ years, through thick and thin. Give them the due respect they deserve, all of them.

9. Give proper roles to the female cops and don't portray them as weak and helpless. If you want to truly portray the power of women then show it in the story, give them powerful and appropriate roles. And yes, a female senior cop is long overdue. If you can't get back Asha, promoting a certain existing one ain't a bad idea. 😉

10. Portray Freddy sir decently as a brave cop and do away with the embarrassing antics. Having a jovial nature like in 2005-06 is what we want. He's also long overdue being promoted to a Senior Inspector.

11. If you really want more members, bring back golden old characters like Asha or Vivek. Give them decent roles and integrate them well into the team.

12. Disguise scenes are meant to be a wholesome part of the story and not just added for the sake of it. And they're not an excuse to show whatever you want either. Keep a certain level of decency and give the actors appropriate roles accordingly.

13. Avoid vulgar songs, inappropriate camera shots and promotion of adult movies in the show.

14. Officer-in-danger cases have become extremely stale. At this rate, we'll have to create a separate department just to save the team all the time. No more than one or two such cases per year, and with sensible stories.

15. Same goes for officer-phasao cases. Crying, OTT, senti scenes, YSPT, pointless series which serve as nothing but TRP magnets = chucked into the trash bin. We've had more than enough of that.

16. No need of OTT dialogues and scenes. Showing one's friendship and love doesn't require them to tattoo it onto their chest and shout it from the rooftops. A subtle display is much more effective and impacting.

17. Proper wardrobes and hairdos for all the cops, please. Enough said. Just ditch the excess makeup, it's unwanted and very embarrassing.

18. Our cops are human too. Some proper light-hearted scenes between them are an absolute delight and we'd love to have some periodic episodes with them.

19. Misleading promos that give a completely false impression of the actual episode (especially if for the worse) is not something we appreciate. So that's another thing going into the biogas plant.

20. While CID's exotic episodes are appreciable for the efforts of the entire cast and crew, it's a sad waste if they're mere eye-candy and totally fail on the story side like almost all of the recent ones. The story is equally important. Don't sacrifice that for a tourism video.

21. Get proper supporting actors, not just random people who are a downright embarrassment to watch on screen (NOM).

22. We need proper and menacing villains, such as the hijackers from the recent bus episode. They should have proper motives and proper plans to achieve them, people who give the team a challenge. While psychos and mentally ill criminals do pose a threat in real life, too much of such cases are tiring.

23. If you cannot portray the forensic techniques accurately due to the entire "criminals get ideas from this" debate, then do not give out laughable info like anxiety-reducing tomato juice or 900 degrees latitude. At least give the lab an authentic look and not a kitchen-cum-dye factory.

24. Do not rip off Hollywood films or Golden Era episodes in an embarrassing manner just for the heck of it. Being actually inspired by the same is a whole different ball game.

25. Would be nice to have proper and appropriate background music, instead of the sound of nails scratching a chalkboard.
