Scene 1 - Colony

The episode begins in a colony with large apartment complexes. We see a man with sunglasses and unusually large backpack sneaking along towards one of them, carefully checking for any onlookers. After taking a good look at its windows, he enters it and walks into the elevator. A girl walks in after him and presses the button for the top floor. She observes that the man is a new face and asks where he's heading. He doesn't answer and silently fingers the butt of a gun hidden behind his belt, but she exits before he can do anything. The elevator goes a floor higher; the man exits into an unoccupied room, unzips his backpack and extracts a large sniper rifle from within. He equips it and positions himself at the window to aim at someone/something outside.

We see a student film/ show being shot outside. After the scene is done, the cameraman checks his film and is surprised to see the sniper aiming out of the window in the background. He informs the director and actors about it.

Scene 2 ' The Crime Scene

ACP sir, Purvi and Rajat arrive at the colony and take the elevator/stairs up to the apartment room in question. The door is locked; Rajat opens it with his pocket knife and they cautiously enter it, guns drawn. They enter the bedroom and find the sniper lying dead upon the floor, shot through the chest. Rajat wonders how the killer entered the room despite the door being locked. ACP sir says that the killer must've been outside the window and shot the sniper when he aimed out of it. They turn over the corpse and see the bullet's exit wound on his back; ACP sir instructs Purvi to search for it in the room.

Rajat notes that if the shooter was indeed shot through the window, he should've fallen down with his legs facing the window. However, he is seen to be lying with his head beneath the window. Purvi doesn't find the bullet in the room either. Rajat finds sniper ammunition and some cash in his pockets, no trace of any I.D. Purvi wonders who his intended target was. Rajat says that it must've been somebody in the area directly outside the window. ACP sir recalls that there's a CCTV camera installed outside a jewelery shop beneath the building, and instructs Purvi to fetch the footage along with the building's watchman. Rajat points out that finding the killer's location amid the multitude of buildings outside the window is going to be very hard, but ACP sir says that they can do it by figuring out the angle from which the sniper had been shot. He asks for the corpse to be sent to the forensic lab.

Scene 3 ' The Forensic Lab

Abhijeet sir and the others visit Dr. Salunkhe, who shows them with the help of a computer-generated reconstruction that the sniper had been shot from an angle of 28 degrees above, implying that either the killer was almost 10 feet tall (not possible) or positioned high up outside. Rajat remarks that the killer must've been an experienced shooter as well. Abhijeet sir wonders why they found the sniper lying with his head towards the window if he was shot from outside. Dr. Salunkhe reveals that the sniper's fingerprints do not have any matches in their database. Abhijeet sir says that they need to find out who his intended target was. Shreya informs him that the sniper rifle is an unlicensed one. Rajat says that one of his sources knows about all criminal dregs dealing with illegal weapons. Abhijeet sir instructs him to find out who were the seller and buyer of this rifle, and says that the crime needs a second visit.

Scene 4 ' The Crime Scene

ACP sir, Purvi and Rajat are seen putting up a mannequin near the window at the sniper's position to recreate the murder scene. They drill a hole 28 degrees up through the figure's chest and project a light beam through it in an attempt to roughly trace the bullet's path. ACP sir uses binoculars and notices it going up towards one of the buildings' rooftops outside.

Scene 5 - Rooftop

He and Rajat go up to the rooftop and locate a spot from which the mannequin is clearly visible, and start looking around for the bullet shell but don't find it. Rajat finds an empty water bottle and food packaging nearby; ACP sir says that it must be the remnants of the killer's meal as he lay in wait there. Purvi arrives with the watchman, who says that he didn't see anybody with a bag coming up to the rooftop. He explains that the bottle and packaging are his, as he had been there since the morning and only went down ten minutes ago. ACP sir considers this, and the fact that he didn't see anybody come up to the rooftop all this while.

Scene 6 ' The Crime Scene

The three cops revisit the crime scene; ACP sir says that the bullet was fired from within the room itself, again recounting the position of the body. Rajat points out that the bullet pierced through the victim and went out of the window. Purvi wonders how the killer did it, because the room was locked when they had arrived. ACP sir instructs Rajat to turn around the mannequin and project the light beam through its chest again. Rajat does so, and they notice the beam landing upon a large speaker placed high on the wall. They dismount and open it, and find a gun and minuscule camera smoothly fitted inside. ACP sir remarks that the killer had been observing the sniper via this arrangement, and discharged the gun as soon as he got the opportunity.

Scene 7 ' A Lonely Road (Nighttime)

We see an illegal weapon trade about to take place as the buyers and sellers arrive in two different cars. They meet, money and weapons are exchanged. Before they can part ways, they find themselves on gunpoint courtesy of our CID team. Purvi shows the seller a photo of the dead sniper; he initially doesn't identify either the man or the rifle, but upon being threatened by ACP sir confesses that the victim is one Bhiku, who had contacted and purchased the rifle from him 3 months ago. They never met after that. ACP sir sharply demands for Bhiku's address.

Scene 8 ' Bhiku's Residence

ACP sir, Daya sir and Rajat enter Bhiku's house and notice several expensive items inside. They search the place and Rajat finds a diary with four phone numbers listed apart from the others. ACP sir says that they need to find out who these numbers belong to, as they may've been Bhiku's potential targets.

Scene 9 ' The CID Bureau

In the bureau, Abhijeet sir, Freddy and Rajat examine the speaker-fitted gun's remote-controlled rig and camera, and deduce how the killer created this customized arrangement to observe and kill the sniper. Abhijeet sir wonders how the killer managed to enter the flat and install the rigged gun without being noticed. Freddy remarks that the watchman didn't see anything, while Rajat says that nothing substantial was recorded in the CCTV footage from the main gate. Abhijeet sir says that he could've entered in disguise, done the rigging and slipped out before anybody noticed. Rajat reveals that the numbers obtained from Bhiku's diary belong to four business partners named Manish, Ritesh, Vikrant and Hitang, who deal with security equipment. Abhijeet sir construes that either these people had hired Bhiku's dark services or were the targets themselves.

Rajat adds that Manish was shot dead in a coffee shop one month ago, with a 9mm sniper rifle bullet. Abhijeet sir says that one of the remaining 3 partners must've been Bhiku's target before he was killed. Meanwhile, Shreya checks the CCTV footage from the jewelery shop camera and notices one man standing on the road and repeatedly checking his watch for quite a while. Zooming into the image, they see that it is Vikrant. Rajat says that he must've been the target, but Abhijeet sir points out that Vikrant had been standing there for a long time, and Bhiku could've easily killed him if he intended, implying that the person Vikrant was apparently waiting for must've been the target. After a while, they see Ritesh arriving and meeting Vikrant. Rajat says that Vikrant seems to have gotten Manish murdered first, and now attempted to do the same to Ritesh. Abhijeet sir instructs them to nab Vikrant.

Scene 10 ' A Building (Outside)

We see Vikrant driving to his office while conversing on mobile. An unidentified man turns up on the terrace with a sniper rifle and watches the car arriving. As Vikrant exits the car, he takes aim and shoots him dead with a shot to the chest. Soon, ACP sir, Purvi and Sachin arrive at the scene and examine Vikrant's corpse, observing that he was shot just like Manish. The bystanders explain what happened, but recall neither seeing any man with a bag nor hearing any gunshot. ACP sir notes that the building's windows are closed, implying that the killer was positioned on the rooftop. He instructs Sachin to check the terrace and enquire if anybody in the building saw some suspicious person around. Purvi finds Vikrant's phone lying under his car and sees that he had last talked to Jaswant, his manager.

Scene 11 ' Jaswant's Office

ACP sir and Purvi meet Jaswant, who is upset to know about the partners being murdered. He says that everybody knew Vikrant used to visit him at 10:00 AM everyday, and during their last call he had been talking regarding some presentation. ACP sir asks if he suspects anybody.

Scene 12 ' Ritesh's Office

ACP sir and Purvi are seen conversing with Ritesh, who is surprised to learn that the killer is apparently after all four of them and wonders why. ACP sir informs him about the Bhiku incident. Ritesh says that Vikrant was above suspicion. He adds that Hitang has been out of town since a month to help his ill father and claimed that he'll be back soon. ACP sir enquires about an accident Ritesh had suffered. Ritesh explains that he had been returning from some party with his wife and child on the 5th of May, when somebody shot at their car and burst the tire, causing the accident and killing his family. He says that his business rivals are unlikely to have done this. Sachin arrives with a 9mm sniper bullet shell he found on the rooftop. ACP sir concludes that the killer is the same person who murdered Manish as well. Sachin adds that nobody saw the killer moving in or out of the building. He mentions that a back gate has been opened to facilitate the movement of some construction workers there; implying that the killer could've used a disguise to enter and exit from there. ACP sir warns Ritesh to be alert and not let anybody know about his whereabouts. He asks Sachin to contact Hitang and instruct him to let them know when he's back in the city.

Scene 13 ' The CID Bureau

In the bureau, Shreya recounts the story of Ritesh's tragic accident to Abhijeet sir and informs him that it took place a week after Manish's murder. Abhijeet says that Bhiku could've been the shooter in that case; Rajat suspects that Ritesh could've murdered him to avenge his family and partners, but Abhijeet sir reminds him that Ritesh was meeting Vikrant on the road when Bhiku was shot using the remote-controlled gun. He construes that some business rival of theirs could've hired Bhiku to kill them, but Fredericks says that none of them seem suspicious yet. Rajat reveals that a recent lucrative order from some private security agency to the partners' firm had been inexplicably canceled at the eleventh hour, which caused them heavy losses, and resulted in the four partners being legally prosecuted and at odds with each other. Abhijeet sir instructs them to find out why the contractor had cancelled the order in question.

Scene 14 ' The Agency Office

Rajat, Fredericks and Shreya meet the agency owner, who explains that he had cancelled the order because the Radian firm's security material was cheap and overpriced. He sued the partners because this material resulted in client dissatisfaction and even the death of some clients. The cops realize the gravity of the situation, and enquire further about the cancellation. The agency guy explains that the Radian company was being funded by two guys named Harshad and Shantanu, who suffered enormous losses due to the cancellation as well. Rajat suspects these two and tells Shreya to obtain details about them. He receives a call informing him that Hitang is back in the city and checked into a hotel near the airport. He says that they need to find the killer before he can assassinate Hitang.

Scene 15 - Hotel

We see Hitang hanging out outside the hotel and going for a swim in the pool. Abhijeet sir, Rajat, Purvi and Nikhil are seen driving to the hotel in the Qualis; they call Hitang but it obviously goes unattended. Purvi says that according to the hotel receptionist, Hitang isn't in his room as well. Nikhil reveals that both Harshad and Shantanu have been abroad from a month, indicating that they're innocent. Rajat says that they had been overlooking the real killer all along.

In the hotel, we see an unidentified man in waiter's attire moving with a large case. When one of the staff members tries to talk to him, he starts to draw a hidden revolver before getting a chance to move on. He ascends up to the rooftop, extracts the sniper rifle from the case and assembles it. He takes careful aim at Hitang in the swimming pool below and calmly prepares to shoot him. The cops arrive in the hotel and are told that Hitang must be in the gym or swimming pool. The receptionist recognizes Ritesh's photo and says that he had seen him there earlier. Up on the terrace, just as the killer (Ritesh) is about to pull the trigger, Abhijeet sir shoots him in the shoulder and sends his shot wide, alarming everybody below. Ritesh draws his revolver, but Abhijeet sir overpowers and slaps him hard.

Ritesh confesses that he murdered his partners because he had worked hard to obtain all their contracts, but his partners ruined everything by dishonestly supplying cheap goods, resulting in heavy losses and the court case. When he protested, they had his car attacked resulting in his family's death. Afraid that they would also kill his parents if he approached the police, he hired Bhiku's services. Since they had only dealt on phone, Ritesh also gave Bhiku his own number as a target in order to mislead the authorities. On the day that his self-arranged assassination was to take place, he entered the flat in disguise (which was a friend's) and installed the remote-controlled gun to kill Bhiku, which led everyone to believe that he was a target as well. He proceeded to kill Vikrant himself after that, and attempted to do the same to Hitang before being captured. Abhijeet sir says that Hitang will be punished for his crimes, but Ritesh will receive a one-way trip to the gallows for the three murders he committed.

THE END
