To tell u the truth, even I don't like crowded temples with 48 hours queue and tickets for darshan. that's why I don't try to go to Tirupati. I am against commercialisation of darshan.

I believe in Lord Balaji...but I don't need to go to Tirupati for that.

I prefer a small temple playing a sweet Hanuman chalisa in a corner, the visitors ringing the bell, the smell of camphor...gives peace of mind...

asto di...i am quite confused about my religious believes, parents belong to different religions and no one forced theirs upon us..ive infact had my old name completely english, second completely indian, people relate it to converting, but i just did that to get that indian element in my name😊
i said i like a worship place since i can sit there hearing bells, prayers, for hours, without the need of having a book infront of you..you know i mentioned of some volunteering work too, can't be done in a library.

Dad? Pops? Father? Why so many names for the same person?

Sunday is called Father's Day, but many of us refer to our male parents as Dad or Papa rather than by the more formal "father." Why does English have so many names for the same person? And where do they all come from?

Like the names for our female parents, "papa" and its many variations were primarily imitative of the first sounds that young children make – the p, b and ah sound. Throughout the Middle East and South Asia, fathers are called "baba," which sounds a lot like papa. In fact papa, baba, and father are related to the Sanskrit word pitr.

"Dad" was recorded in the 1500s but probably was used by children for a long period before that. The formal "father" was spelled "fader" until as recently as the late 1500s. "Pops" is the most recent linguistic twist on affectionate names for our dads. It arose in America in the 1830s.

Father's Day started in Spokane, Washington in 1910. It did not become an official holiday in the United States until 1972. It is always celebrated on the third Sunday in June.

What do you call your dad?

God is where you are are

i agree one doesnt need to go to crowded temples to seek God. Even I believe in Lord Vishnu but but I dont need to go somewhere to prey to him

but at the same time I believe every one has a right to there believes

Yeah.. for sure you wouldn't find the bells..camphor and prayer in library...

but when it comes to me.. i am not really interested in that scent... i love the scent of books.. and pin drop silence... 😊 wow.. my only aim in life ... is to make a huge library of my own... and live in that world ... though a room yet the knowledge of whole world... 😊

and volunteering also doesn't happen in temples... i am totally anti when it comes to donating to temples or at temples... at the end of day.. people like me.. end up eating that free food..just because i am lazy to cook at home...

Faith is a personal thing
one should avoid discussing it in public if one wants to avoid argumenet

😆

Also its up to an individual to seek or stumble upon his or her spirituality\\
Its also up yo a person to refrain from seeking it

We aren't discussing faith... we are discussing a place where we find peace...and work in which we get peace 😃
