Case : Mohabbat ka Shikaar

Story and Screenplay : Pakhi Karthik

Scene 1

A guy is waiting for his girlfriend on his bike ' outside a residential building. After sometime the girl comes'they are planning to elope when their parents come running. The girl's parents blame the guy whereas the boy's mother holds the girl responsible for everything. The couple very clearly states to their parents that they love each other and will do anything to get married.

Scene 2

The couple is sitting in the canteen of their college when a friend arrives. He offers to help and gives them a plan( we are not able to hear the plan). Another guy who was sitting in the same canteen overhears them.

Scene 3

2 bodies, dressed as Naina and Gaurav are hanging from the tree in the same residential complex. The parents come running only to find that they were not Gaurav and Naina, instead some skeletons. One of the residents calls CID.

CID comes to the spot' Daya scolds the parents for being so insensible. Freddy shows Daya that the skeletons were fake. Daya asks Freddy to find out about the shop or lab from where the skeletons might have been stolen. Freddy also finds a letter in the shirt's pockets. The letter was addressed to the parents. Daya reads out the letter for them. The letter said that the couple was planning to get married on the 14^th Feb (Valentine's Day). If the parents tried to intervene, they would find the couple's dead bodies hanging from the tree the next time. The parents start arguing again but Daya tries to make them realize their mistake ( Love Guru Daya 😉 ). He then asks them about the last time they had seen Naina. Her parents inform that the day before they had showed her some photographs of eligible bachelors after which they had an argument and so, locked her in her room. The next morning, they found she had run away through the windows.

CID notices that the father was behaving a little oddly. They enquire if he was hiding something but he refuses and leaves. Daya tells Freddy to keep an eye on him.

Scene 4

Someone brings Abhijeet and his team to the canteen and shows them Dheeraj( the friend of Gautam and Naina). On interrogating, Dheeraj says that he has no idea of Gautam and Naina's whereabouts. He adds that Gautam's life might be in danger as Naina's father had threatened to kill him. Abhijeet notices someone was listening to their conversation. After Dheeraj is gone, Abhijeet gets hold of this man (who was trying to listen to their conversation'. The same guy had overheard Dheeraj, Gautam and Naina the other day). He introduces himself as Trilok. He says that Naina's life is in danger' he adds that Gautam was a maniac and can go to any extent to take revenge as Naina had rejected his proposal many a times in front of the entire college. Abhijeet wonders whose life is actually in danger !

Scene 5

CID Bureau

Freddy suggests that Trilok must be lying about Gautam being a maniac. However Shreya comes in and informs that Gautam was under psychiatric treatment till a year ago. ACP predicts that Trilok must be correct. Gautam being a maniac might be planning to take revenge and might tkill her. Pankaj comes in. He says that they have come to know about the skeletons.. i.e from which lab they were stolen.

Scene 6

Chemical Laboratory

CID team comes to the laboratory and shows them Naina and Gautam's pictures. But the people in the lab don't recognize them. One of them informs the team that the skeletons were there in the lab till 8 p.m. but when in the morning they arrived, they found the wardrobes broken and the skeletons were gone. CID team interrogates the man at the paan shop opposite the laboratory. On being shown the pics of Gautam and Naina he refuses to have seen them around the lab. However, he adds that he had seen a man with a big bag coming out of the lab at around 11 in the night. ACP asks him to help them draw a sketch of the man.

Scene 7

Daya, Freddy and Nikhil are keeping an eye on Naina's father. At night, they find him secretly leaving his building and going out to meet someone. It was none other than Trilok. They were talking about some deal of crores.

Scene 8

CID Bureau

The sketch is ready as per what the man at the paan shop had described. Yet again, it was Trilok. CID team wonders if Trilok was the one to have kidnapped Gautam and Naina. ACP predicts that Naina's father Prabhat might also be involved with the kidnapping. They decide to meet him.

Scene 9

Naina's home

Daya interrogates Prabhat. The latter initially refuses to recognize Trilok, but on further interrogation he accepts his fault. He confesses that he was the one who had helped Trilok to kidnap Gautam and Naina. According to him, Trilok had himself called him up saying that he studied In the same college. Prabhat had thought that Trilok would help him get his daughter get rid of Gautam by killing Gautam. Prabhat says that Trilok is now asking for 2 crores as ransom money or else he would kill Naina as well.

Scene 10

College

ACP and Shreya visit Gautam's college. They are shocked to find out that Trilok wasn't a student there. However, since the college canteen was open to outsiders, it was possible for anybody to be there.

Scene 11

CID Bureau

On searching the criminal records, CID team finds that Trilok has a criminal past. He has been to jail before for being accused of stealing. They plan to get hold of Trilok as soon as possible.

Scene 12

Trilok's house

CID team visits Trilok's house. His mother is shocked to know that he has been involved in some crime. She informs the team that the previous night he had come to his house, changed his dress, took care of the wound on his leg and left. The mother also says that Trilok had a bag in his hand inside which there were dresses for bride and groom and other marriage related items. Shreya suggests that Trilok might be helping Gautam and Naina for their marriage. ACP wonders why would they take Trilok's help for that ! He asks the mother to show the clothes that Trilok was wearing the previous night. ACP notices some burn marks on the pant and adds that the burn marks were due to sulphuric acid. CID predicts that Trilok might have hidden Gautam and Naina in some chemistry lab. Shreya receives a call. She informs ACP that Trilok's cell phone was last traced at Goodwill College. ACP decides to look in the chemistry lab of Goodwill College.

Scene 13

Goodwill College

When ACP visits the college, they are informed that there was a chemistry lab which was shut since years. CID team goes there and start looking for clues when Shreya finds a dead body. It was Trilok's body. He was shot at his chest. Right when Shreya suggests Gautam to be the one to shoot, they hear someone's voice in the same room. They start searching again and find Gautam in an injured condition. Gautam says Trilok was the one to have brought them here. He adds that Naina's life was in danger. ACP notices some items needed during a marriage wrapped with a red cloth. They guess that someone might be trying to marry Naina forcibly. Sachin finds a card, Pandit ji's visiting card. He makes a call on the number and is informed that Pandit ji had gone to Swadesh Hall for some marriage.

Scene 14

Swadesh Hall

A guy is trying to marry Naina on gun point. He even threatens to kill the Pandit if he utters anything against him. Right then Abhijeet arrives with Vineet and Shreya. They stop the marriage and find the guy to be Dheeraj. Before they could arrest Dheeraj, he threatens them to kill Naina by keeping her on his gun point and then runs away leaving her behind. A chase scene follows. Finally, he is caught and slapped by Abhijeet.

Confession scene: Dheeraj says that he loved Naina and wanted to marry her at any cost. Since she loved Gautam, he befriended Gautam and in turn made his plans! He was the one to take help from Trilok. However, when Trilok became greedy for Rs.2 crores in return of Naina, he killed Trilok as well. ACP gives his famous "'faansi ka order aane tak" dialogue and Freddy takes Dheeraj away. Gautam, his mother and Naina'a parents arrive. They are all happy that the problem is solved and now Naina's parents and Gautam's mother have decided to get Gautam and Naina married to each other. ACP appreciates them for taking such a good decision and the episode ends.
