CID to turn tri-weekly

The show will also have an hour-long kids-centric episode every week on Friday
TOI has some great news for the loyal viewers of CID, one of the longest running shows on television. Sony Entertainment Television's flagship show, which currently airs twice a week, will be telecast three days a week after the ongoing season of Kaun Banega Crorepati wraps up.
The show currently airs on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 to 11 pm. But very soon, it will be aired on Sundays, too, from 10 to 11 pm. On Fridays, the show will be telecast from 9 to 11 pm. The timing remains the same on Saturdays.
Says a source, "The show will air thrice a week after Kaun Banega Crorepati ends. While it currently airs at 10 pm on Fridays, the show will be extended to two hours as per the new schedule. The one-hour episode from 9 to 10 pm on Fridays will be kids-centric.
The content is being worked upon, but in all likelihood, a new face will be introduced in it. It will be made especially for kids and there are chances that a popular face among kids might join theCID team." Producer BP Singh didn't revert to our text message.
