Kavita Kaushik walks the plank!

CID director B P Singh was candid when he told Kavita Kaushik that he would'nt do the scene she was attempting, even if he was given Rs 1,00, 000 for it!

But the lady obviously thought otherwise. Kavita went on to shoot for a sequence in the weekly thriller last week that required her to walk on the narrow ledge of a parapet of a highrise without using a body double! The director, who shot the sequence himself, applauded her efforts and has promised her a gift!

"It was very scary! BP sir told me that if I wanted out then I was free to do so, but there was no backing out! I almsot died of fright. I didn't want to let anybody down and I finally completed the stunt with the others cheering me on! Daya, Satam sir (Shivaji Satam) and BP sir were really very encouraging...I could hear their voices as I did the stunts and that helped," laughs the gutsy lady.

"We were toying with the idea of doing a stunt for a long time. We were waiting for a scope to create such a situation and this episode of hypnosis was the most suitable!" says supervising producer CID Yash Patnaik.

Talking about his leading lady, Patnaik's all praise. "Kavita was a little apprehensive in the beginning, but she's a great sport! Mr Singh shot the sequence. We took all measures to ensure Kavita's safety and used cable harness to hold her up. We also used a professional stuntman named PK who helped us with the shots," says Patnaik.

The particular scene was shot on 15 March on Holi and telecast on 31 March, Friday.

We ask Kavita if she is looking forward to doing more of such stunts and the lady says, "Now that everybody knows that I can do it, they are sure to incorporate more and more such scenes."
