Freddy is always used for comic relief mostly stupid one...many people like this slapping and all and take it in a comical sense

Yeah, or he could have simply shot in the air, and the hypnotism could be broken,... there was actually really no need to slap!!!

Yeah, but if these type of acts are taken in a serious way, it realy does not seem to impress much...

C'mon Vis ... Freddy was hypnotized and was laughing badly ... He was going out of control and with them was this hypnotizing guy ... Abhijeet was to handle Freddy and also see and investigate about this psycho guy ... If you see Freddy he himself was having issues because of this laughing non stop and something had to be done immediately to stop him ... Abhijeet was under stress and in immidiate action slapped him ... He couldn't obviously wait fir water to be brought and all ... It was a momentary action like a reflex action to stop freddy and nthing was obviously intentional so it's ok !!

We know it wasn't intentional, but shooting in the air, or shaking him violently would have worked better...

he could not have shot inside the room... policemen resort to that measure if a large no. of people are going berserk, not for a single person going crazy and shaking vioently was an option but i guess, abhi thought slapping will be more effective

See its personal opinion. In my opinion when person has to react quickly. I would say react immediately so that end result is expected.

End result was to get him out of hypnotism and he has to react, writer showed him reacting that way. Its simple.
On number of occasions when we have to react immediately we do lots of mistake. Natural.
