My opinions about this? Well, to tell you the truth, CID has become nothing more than a brand name nowadays. When I was in India, I often had quarrels with my aunts with whom I was living with because they wanted to watch some K-serial and I wanted to watch CID. So, very few people are interested, thanks to those soaps and their increasing popularity. As a result, all the good, experienced, veteran actors as well as the directors, scriptwriters etc all go into soaps. The magnitude of the success and longevity of crime shows has not been long when compared to other dramas. But why is CID unique in it;'s success and longevity? Like I said, because of the brand name and also, because of the actors associated with the show for a long time(Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, Daya Shetty etc) But how many people truly like the cases for their plots? Very few to probably non-existent. I asked many of my relatives who do watch the show, and either they like the comedy involved, or the slim trim female cops, in short, everything but the plot. Why has all this been introduced? To compete with the other serials that have been hogging the limelight. Of course, CID gets the highest-second highest rating for the channel, but if you look at it from a broader perspective, the TRP's are nothing compared to the other shows. And this is why CID has to include these side tracks to gain the viewers attention. But IDK about some of the other members, but I can safely say that even though the performances of the actors have been great in such situations, if you set the acting aside, the plot is like a pizza with nothing on it. It's either highly cliched or it's very weak with many loopholes in it.
I know my post is a bit jumbled up, so I apologize😆I'm busy with something actually😆
