Freddy has been an inseparable part of CID. He has been there way before Daya or Abhijit even existed on the show, heck, even before Viren was on the show. Even though he was mostly sidelined on the show(during the Sudhakar era), the team always felt complete with Freddy. Even though he has been reduced to a 'joker' on the show, the sad truth is that CID gets some TRP's due to him, as some people turn on the show just to watch his mockery👎🏼 Anyways, all this being said, I don't think FW will be crazy enough to do so, it's almost like "pear par kulhadi maarna", and Dinesh Phadnis, in a few of his interviews has made no intentions whatsoever of leaving CID. So I doubt that,

Hopefully, I would like to see him more engaged in the case, and see him in a serious avatar, just like he was in the last case, and less overacting from Dinesh Sir.

The brilliantly edited new promo shows Freddie giving company to the 3 🤢 Ladies. That entire burnt body drama is gone down the drain. I pity the poor guy who enacted the dead body, so much makeup and the guy who did the make-up. Your efforts stand null and void.
