Arre yaar imagine they are showing an old clip in flashback where ACP is shouting his lungs out "Rajeev mat bhago beta, Raju Beta", YET ACP's son became NAKUL out of the blue. There has to be some sense. Till not we don't know what happened to ACP's wife who has made an appearance when he turned blind, after that she never came, not even when their son died. I thought maybe she died too but in the Salman's episode last year he told him "tumari bhabhi tumhari fan hai". Poor Daya Sir ke background ka satyanaash kar diya getting that Mamata foundation out of the blue.

Even though Freddie's wife's name keep changing atleast we know he has a wife. Even Abhi Sir's mom keeps changing but he is the only who has some consistency with his background among the TRIO.

One possibility Daya, his brother & sister all grew up in the orphanage.
But there is definitely lack of continuity.

She has consistency because she died due to shock, they cannot do anything with a dead person, if was alive she became inconsistent as well, thanks to FW.

daya's father put all his kids in an orphanage? Was he mad 😆

Rajiv changed his name in sslc book in to nakul.

Daya's parents passed away when Daya and his slblings were young.

So there were 3 kids...2 boys aged 9 and 7 and one girl aged 5 who landed in Mamta Foundation.

Daya graduated from there. It all fits in.

No, Daya's parents died that's why they were in an orphanage.
BTW, have you seen his father in any episode?

I can bet my life on this that FW never gave this a thought, I am sure they don't even recollect they had such scenes in cases earlier. They just wanted Daya Sir to be stuck in an emotional situation during the case and hence we have the great Mamata Foundation.

Even if we take this as an explanation for Brother and Sister but still what about the father. In "The Gift" where some stupid fellow said he is Daya Sir's relative, Daya Sir says "Mere rishtedaar, Maa-Baap ki shakal yaad nahin aur tum mere rishatedaar" (something like that) where he is not supposed to know his parents. From the Written Update of "The Case Of The Missing Bullet" there is clearly a scene where he is remembering his father's words when he is suspended from CID and that makes him feel so guilty that he tries to commit suicide. Here is the relevent part.

So no matter what explanations we come up with the truth is that FW has forgotten that there is something called "attention to detail" and "continuity". When the new creative team came in they should have gone back checked old cases that would have save them making such disastrous blunders.

Though I don't remember having seen him, some people who have seen Missing Bullet say that he was remembering his dad. I assumed that Daya was about 7-8 years old when his parents passed away, so he is old enough to remember his dad.

The shakal yaad nahin hai dialogue was a blunder like the blunder in Sr Ins Abhijeet about memory loss being a naatak. Don't pay attention to that one dialogue. The rest of the story is ok.
