I know exactly how it feels! I have heard a direct version of it! 😭

What will i do?! I have nothing to do. Firstly, if its a show i have been attached to so much...emotionally and in every way! A show that has given me everything in my life. Be it identity, fame, love of so many people, friends etc etc.. I can never imagine myself to leave the show! At the same time, if its quality is detiorating then surely i am gonna be damn upset! It hurts after all! Mentally i wont be able give my best anyways. Will surely try and talk it out with the show heads finally...with the support of the remaining cast! IF i am not supposed to do so(might be a trend in the production house, that we the actors are not supposed to interfere in such matters....thats what trend has been followed since past many years) then i guess all i can do is hope for the best and "move on"....

As an actor who has been a part of the show for quite a long time, i guess i can at least speak to the BOSS casually anf explain it to him! But no way am i gonna leave it!

Ideally I would be upset and would want to quit BUT if you have a family to feed, home loan to pay and all the finances to take care of I will go with "I am not satisfied but I am helpless". I can't let go of my regular income, can I. This income thing makes us stick on and keep doing that same old job even if it failed to give us any satisfaction long long ago. Also, I can improve only what is in my hands, my role, my acting, my performance. I can't improve for others.

Before reading Prabha's answer, I was about to type the same thing.
This job is sort of permanent and stable and gives me some guaranteed income. Why would I let go of this? And this show is giving me some dedicated fans who love me a lot. My staying here also brings happiness to them. I'll hang on till something really big comes my way.

i agree with you, it's practical. Then what is your choice? Option no. 6?

Yeah....6...but the offer has to be really really attractive, not just in monetary terms.

If its me I am kind of person (at least till now future can't say) if I am not satisfied with environment I just leave that place immediately but if attached to some show for long years then I will give second thought will see if anything positive happens or say see if they are trying to do something seriously otherwise I quit.

But like others say if its family is there I will stay till I get another good job. If I am unsatisfied I can work there but for some time period, depending upon when will I loose my patience.
