O I love that case, Daya Sir is awesome in that one. Gives some of his best smiles and wonderful acting. He looks so cute in that red shirt [that shot was used in the flashbacks in Beherupiya too 😒] I like how he is conversing with ACP and in the mirror sees the lady adding something in his drink. He asks what he should do, when ACP leaves it on him, He says he will drink it. And the whole semi-conscious act was superb.

Dayanand Sir is such a fine actor.

But before that he cut the call
Acp says in his mind ''bahadoor bacha''

And look at the last scene when salunkhe and others found him in operation thetre, salunkhe touches his forehead and that shows how much they all care for him.

I'll tell you what I felt in some of the older episodes. ACP cared less about the safety of our duo and cared more about solving the case. At least ACP could have asked Daya to pretend to sip it and act as if unconscious. A cop like Daya could have definitely managed that.

And ACP and Abhijeet leave him alone in the hospital overnight. That was a bit...you know...unlike the ACP and Abhijeet we know. No offence meant.

I even saw the 'case of the undercover cop' where Abhijeet is asked by ACP to sell drugs. He says 'tumpar hamla ho sakta hai', but doesn't add a simple 'apna khayal rakhna'. Then Abhijeet goes to a bar and gets beaten up very badly. Daya and the rest of them were sitting in the Qualis at a distance.(Daya was still on 'sir' terms with Abhijeet back then).

Daya was watching Abhijeet being beaten up and still talking to him on mobile as usual. No trace of worry or tension. I am not saying that he should have rushed forward and beaten the other guy black and blue. I know it would have spolied their plan. Still, Daya was way too relaxed. The case was good and well directed but still....maybe a simple 'aap theek to hain' at that point would have done the trick.

in undercover cop that beat was essential. It was a part of job. Thats why daya looked at that and enjoyed...just kidding, he wont enjoy...

I love abhi in that episode....a beautiful story written by fredy....nice performance....

In healthy patient too, if they have a feeling that he is acting ten they will close the business and cant catch them, may be thats why.

But thats whats expected. It was just a 2/3 year relationship. Now its 13 years relationship. There has to be some difference right? So thats the mutual growth in relationship among people. Its obvious isnt it? 😃

At that time, ACp was more like ACP... now he is more like a father figure. earlier, he was confident about his officers. also the fact that in the meantime, he has faced a lot of setbacks on an emotional elvel and he has realised the importance of these poeple in his life...😃

Yeah....it was during 2001-2002, when they started becoming 'friends' rather than just colleagues. In cases like 3 Rinas and Unknown girl, this is clearly visible. Maybe back then some crazy fans wrote to them saying that they shouldn't behave like 'pathar dils' and they decided to change something. (They probably cared about fans those days)

All I can is that BONDS TAKE TIME TO BUILD. Although I don't know but both examples @Viz has given I feel what they showed was apt under those circumstances. Apart from that we need to see who is behind the scenes. Earlier CID was way too professional and now it has got way too unprofessional. I think they got the balance somewhere between mid 2000 to 2004.
