OLD CID Case list - closed!!!! - Page 20

Year 2003 Completed with names of all Episodes aired.

Some stats:

1] We now the full case list from 2002-Till Date i.e. from Episode Number 197 to 608.

2] So since CID started i.e. on 21-Jan-1998 to 28-Dec-2001, 196 Episodes ie 98 Cases were aired.

3] Out of these 98 case we know case titles of 70 cases. 28 Cases titles are still missing.

4] This means there were 11 weeks when either repeats of CID were aired or were no show weeks.

I was going through the case list again.

ACP - Salunkhe misunderstanding happened in this case

7-Jun-2002 THE CASE OF THE CLINCHING EVIDENCE - 1
14-Jun-2002 THE CASE OF THE CLINCHING EVIDENCE - 2

I thought ACP might have got transferred soon after this, but that did not happen. He continued to be part of the team and they both seemed cordial with each other except one minor instance in THE CASE WEDDING BLUES (17-Jan-2003). His last case before his exit was the following case and there was no scene which showed any problem between the two.

After this case the following case was aired with did not have any Forensic Expert.

13-Jun-2003 THE CASE OF THE ELUSIVE BOMBER - 2

The next case was with Dr Vrinda Wagle with no formal intro scene.

20-Jun-2003 THE CASE OF THE RED RAIN - 1
27-Jun-2003 THE CASE OF THE RED RAIN - 2

No wonder I never remember any big showdown between ACP and Salunkhe. Salunkhe next made a brief appearance in the following case where he for the first time reveals the reason for his exit. He makes an appearance when Aditi was looking through slides.

But there was never a single scene where they show that ACP got him transferred. Does anyone remember anything differently.

BTW, here you said that there was a case in 2003 called The Case of the Innocent Victim. But I don't see it listed on page 1 of this thread. Where did it go?

As far as Salunkhe is concerned, I remember he came under suspicion in the Invisible Bullet case and the ACP was angry with him. Maybe I imagined it but I always associated that case with Salunkhe's departure. I guess the actor quit the show and they never bothered with a proper exit. Very odd. You know, at the end of The Case of the Staged Murder, the ACP said that even though Salunkhe thinks he got him transferred because of the Invisible Bullet case the real reason was something else. He doesn't reveal the reason at the time. It looked like the writers were setting up some mystery about Salunkhe's transfer and later forgot about it since it never came up again. 😕

Thank you. I am glad you went through it. About Innocent Victim, I guess got the year wrong. Now when I try to recollect It was possibly a 2000 or a 2001 case. If I am not wrong it had the old Animation Opening titles, so it can't be 2003. I think I missed adding it to the list of the cases whose air date is unknown. but there were two cases with the same name one had Viren and one had Abhi Sir.
