Well, I knew that Daya tried to shoot himself in the mouth, but tha was ages ago....I remember I had seen the Abhijit Sawant episode, but don't remember this side story.

I know I had seen Abhijit Sawant's case but I can't recollect anything from Daya Sir's Story. Does anyone recollect these?

I saw it just once...and it was also not shown in proper sequence.

Yeah, it is something like this...the man dying in custody was a different episode. It is not linked to Code Banjara at all.

ACP gets a tip off that 'a certain CID officer' is having some links to terrorists. So the ACP calls all of them(Abhijeet, Daya, Daksh, Fredricks and Aditi) to the bureau and ask them to go and conduct a search of each other's houses. All of them return except Daya who had gone to search Daksh's house and Daksh himself.

Then Abhijeet goes in search of Daya and finds his bike in a jungle. He also finds Daksh and questions him as to where is Daya.

Daksh says that some terrorist had caught them both and had asked him (Daksh) to shoot at Daya etc etc.

I don't remember the minute details here.

After some investigation, they find Daya on a road, with people attacking him. He seems to have been tortured, psychologically affected and is unable to speak etc...(this was a very sad scene)

ACP and Abhijeet take him to the hospital.

Then they find that Daksh had found info about his brother and that's why he had done all this.

I remember Daya was a regular member but not from the beginning...he joined after some 15-20 episodes. But there were episodes where he was not seen, like for eg, the Jan 17 episode didn't have the ACP.

From what I have heard and seen. Mr Dayanand Shetty has been the only and only Daya Sir since he entered CID. He became part of the CID Core Team from the 15th Episode since its inception and continues to be the strongest pillar of the show. However there have been episodes in between where he has been absent on and off.

Thanks a lot freinds for all the posts and information.Through which I cud watch some old episodes.I have also seen Jeena isika naam hain- Shivaji Satam episode where all the c.i.d members have come.

Also, I remember that long time ago, in '98, I saw an episode which starts in a theater with a play going on and a guy is murder in the front row, is throat slit with a blade. Don't remember the rest. Does anyone know what that episode is?😕
