Happy HAJJ and Eid Mubarak to all Muslims! Muslims all over the world is celebrating Eid Al Adha or Eid Ul Adha. Also called "Festival of Sacrifice", Muslims commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Isma'il as an act of obedience to Allah before He intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead.

Eid Al Alha start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide. The celebration originated thousand of years ago in Mecca where Ibrahim's faith was tested by Allah. He asked Ibrahim to offer to Him his only son Isma'il which he prayed for so long. Upon presenting Ibrahim was astounded as his son Isma'il surrendered his life to Allah and said: "Father, do what you have been commanded. You will find me, Insha'Allah, to be very patient."

When Allah seen the willingness of the two, He then called it out and instead asked Ibrahim to replace the sacrifice with a ram. They both passed the test and as a reward, Allah then granted Ibrahim the good news of the birth of his second son, Is-haaq.

In celebration of Eid AL-Adha, Muslims will sacrifice an animal and then proceed to share the meat one third each with friends, family, and the poor. In the United States, President Obama greeted all Muslims by saying: "On Eid, Muslims around the world will commemorate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son, and distribute food to those less fortunate – a reminder of the shared values and the common roots of three of the world's major religions. On behalf of the American people, we extend our best wishes during this Hajj season."

Happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims. Here is a Youtube video that we found greeting each Muslim celebrating Eid Al Adha a Happy Eid Mubarak!
