Misti, thanks for sharing. Zee and its strategies (?) make me *yawns*... kya farak padtha hai? 6, 6:30 or 10 or 11 pm... For the show to work there needs to be a proper storyline and screenplay among others...all shows from 6 to 11pm of "original programming"*rolls eyes* have the same tracks repeated with the same trps(certain exceptions)

As for the article, it clearly shows that ZEE is just spiralling downwards but its trying to hop back. If they had to bring in new time slot, why do this to CB? they could have easily bought in the new shows herein! But they preferred not to!😡

This strategy according to them is a good way to bring in huge TRP's, but rather than bringing in new time slots they could have just concentrated on existing shows properly and could have got good ratings! Apt Example would be CB itself......had they focussed much more on CB's story I am sure the rival channel;s show wouldnt have been soaring high like this! 😕 But no PH and ZEE chose to focus on new shows like Sangini and RMJ, Mera naam......etc AND completely neglected CB, a show that could have been easily been the Numero Uno if treated in a good manner!!!!

Now whats happening? They killed a good show......and their so called fresh concepts arent working!😒😡

Colors despite not having extra time slots in doing good.......because even though most of their shows are regressive, the story telling is good. Whereas in CB, CV's messed up everything! Only if they had paid some attention to the story and the screenplay then the ACTORS would have surely managed everything else very beautifully!! (they even managed without a script!) Because CB had a very good lot of Actors, from Avinash and Rubina to Gopi Desai to Sheeba to Rajjan. Everyone was good in their work and they really touched our heart's making us love/ hate them.

Zee wake up, you need good story's to bring in TRP's!! Audience arent fools who would sit and watch your crap!😡

Misti thanx for sharing this interesting peice which goes on to show how pathetic n desp. Zee is to get some good business.

But as Radhika said does noot matter as once they loose faith they are long gone ..Zee will have to think for viewers rather than from just business. maybe initially they will fetch some good numbers but soon audience will know what Zee is upto..same old wine in new bottle..in thier case not the old classy wine but third grade misture of Zeee formula..

Waise i read it in forum somewhr that one of this new serial with Dadi in is mostly same story as CB..has Zee made CB to be a story standard for all their shows apart from promoting it as trend setter...

If they are so much proud of CB then y closed it in first place after giveing it 0th degree treatment..guess can never get any answers for thta. They cud have easily started that new show RMJ in one of these time slots but no they chose otherwise (this clearly shows some problem/politics..wich we all dicussed n times n now proved)...they even told they cannot shift any serila to 6:30 slot as that time is for their repeat telecast. when some of us suggested to either shift CB or new serila to that slot .wonder wht will happen to the so very imp repeat telecast at these new slots..

Whatever but will these strategies work for zee in long run (n long run for them is after 1 mth or so..as they belive in daily.weekly performance)..answer is BIG NO. Right now they are in panic mode and trying their hands on anything..this new plan will backfire soon as other high std. channels wud soon launch serila in thse slots n thn viewers will never gonna give Z their shre of attention..we all know why but Z can never understand it despite whole lot of mgmt behind them..

waise i was luaghing reading the article..partly caz of z mistaken beliefs and rest due to your specila emoticons after every seond statement😆

Thanks Misti for the articles. Getting tired of Zee tv so called strategic moves. I remember an article where KB was praised of TRP, but it was the opposite. TRP where bad, lol what happend it ended a month later. Then there was an article that they are getting tired of bad trp of KB and they ended CB instead of KB. 😕 They tell only lies in articles to make them look better. All their shows are bad and are falling so fast, the new shows aren't working at all. There was absoluty no reason to end Choti Bahu so abrupt. They should had give respect to CB and let it have 2 years. At least we could see the waaris story. With this end something is missing and that is the storyline of the waaris for me personally. From the beginning dadi wanted a waaris. TRP wasn't bad, they were great! Agle is doing really bad the competition is too big. But still it is on the air why!

So they ended CB because of their ego and their hunger for new shows etc.. and fight with PH!

I'm sure PH is guilty too!

They could have handle it much better. Wish Zee tv showed some respect to Choti Bahu and their viewers. Choti Bahu did gave them very good TRP till the end! I wrote it many time they need a change in their management for sure. When are they officially going to admit their mistake, lol!😆

Yes, opening new time slots is an easy way to improve the TAM's----but I am sure Star Plus and Colors have their strategies in place already to compensate for the Zee move.

SP is much more shrewd than ZEE. The way their TRPs are placed shows that they know who their target audiences are and are targeting their shows towards them. Recently I have been watching one of Colors shows (the one that was inspired from CB)...although whatever they are showing has been shown in CB, the quality of writing is far beter compared to what we were fed.

Looks like AJ has been given another life and can't believe MNKR is still going strong for Zee....
They already replaced the lead for MNKR and now the talk about replacing the lead in RMJ---Another strategy to improve their TAMs

Well they might be thinking that confusing their viewers might be an easy way get the TRPs.😉😆
I would really love to see the Zee TV current revenue. May be they need to show loss in the revenue for Tax purposes...

yeah the regional soaps starts at 6:00 or 6:30pm and go on till 11:00, If u see them continuously for a week u'll get fried away😆.

Agar Zee wale ithna dimaag aur Analysis storyline pe dalthe then ithna pachthna nahi padtha!!!!!
they couldnt make loyal viewers stick to the channel then how will Zee TV will be hoping to migrate these viewers with 😲its fresh content??? while drawing in a whole set of new audiences.🤪

You are welcome Priyanka. Keeping some exceptions aside most of the shows on zee are either copies of other shows or the story tends to go in circles.

Thanks for the articles, Misti ... the emoticons were very telling 😆 😆 also reflected how i felt abt their so-called strategies 😡

I am sick of Zee ... they cancelled a show with very high TRPs with absolutely no future plans ... and they are not even talking about taking Avinash or Rubina into any of their new shows ... until they come up with a new show with them together or offer them roles,my subscription to Zee stays cancelled 😡

I think AJ may possibly benefit from the backlash they suffered when they canceled CB ... their new shows are not doing well ... while earlier they considered CB TRPs of 2.5 + low,😕 😕 now they are possibly grateful for AJ's TRPs of 1.8
