How can I voice my anger towards you and your creative team?

You let Amma get away with countless attempted murder, torturing Radhika for 25 years of her life, verbally abusing Radhika. Amma had such a deep hatred for Radhika that she even tried to kill Dev through Chacha. Amma kept on verbally abusing Radhika till the second to the last episode in Radhika's own home. No one said anything to her as if Amma was God. May be she is God to you, since you forgave her act. How can you let her go scot-free for all these above crimes in this sentimental Choti Bahu drama, which had influenced so many of us, viewers?

In my opinion, since your team forgot about her misdeeds may be you're reincarnation of Amma. Script writers gave Amma strong, emotional dialogues while the main leads and positive characters were left inferior to Amma. Both parivaars accepted her with gratitude with big smiles on their faces knowing well her numerous abuses on poor orphan Radhika. Her biggest crime of attempted murders of Radhika-Dev was never disclosed to the family. What would have happen if that was disclosed? Knowing you really well, most likely family would have forgiven her for that as well. Is this what are you trying to show to society in which every 3 minutes women are being abused and murdered in India. How pathetic and sad?

All other characters became her puppets in the end. In the end, Radhika became her favorite and even Dev was influenced by her rona-dhona. Dev is the same person you had created who was against any kinds of injustice to human beings. I am sure Mrinalini-Chacha would have been forgiven by the Purohits if Amma spoke in their behalf. How pathetic?

Can I ask you a question? Why were Mrinalini and Chacha never forgiven? Their crimes did not come close to what Amma-Vishaka had committed. Even Mataramji got away with her murderous acts. Even Vishaka had enjoyed her full five years of married life with daughter and husband. At least Vishaka should have acknowledged that all her root of problems had been Amma. While poor Radhika had to sleep alone at night wishing her husband would come back to her for the last five years. Was this Kanha's or your justice?

All these above facts prove to me that you're reincarnation of Amma. In your eyes, it is okay to murder, physically and mentally abuse someone. In your eyes, these are minor issues but being lynched by society for crimes not done is more important. One has to do countless positive deeds to god to be forgiven by the society.

At least you could have given Radhika full justice by punishing Amma who was the root of her all her sufferings. Dev & Dadima should have never forgiven Amma for her various crimes. These are the same individual who had believed in full justice to all human beings regardless of their backgrounds. In the end you destroyed our beloved Dev-Radhika-Dadi-Babuji's characters by weakening their inner strength and righteousness.

In the end you have let down real life victims of abuse. It seemed that their sufferings were not important issue anymore. These are the reasons your viewership went down and continues to go down.

Tazzi - I applaud you! Well said! I do hope CM will read this or better yet mail/e-mail this IMPORTANT Message, to all the people concerned, and to Women's Activists, if any, in India. We have a Lady President, she should promote some kind of change... STOP the violence towards women, and have some kind of Censor Board, preventing Movies/Dramas from promoting these types of act!

Of all the character actors Gopi Koppikar was present towards the end , Priyanka Misra also came so they just thought that if they are forgiven serial will end faster .
To punish Amma would entail more shooting , for which they did not have the time .
Radhika had promised her mother that she will bring Vishaka back , that promise had to be fulfilled & Devki to be made happy . Shastriji was also to be made happy & content that his mother has returned from her wayward thinking . . .
It would of course have satisfied us better if they had left Amma fuming & roasting in her own juice at radhika's success .
But their redemption was shown to highlight Radhika's character . She was in direct contact with Kanha ,
A person of such spiritual strength & reach is indifferent to man's evil deeds . & has the quality of Mercy .
Kshama badan ko chahiye chhotan ke utpat
Here Bada means not chronological age but an exalted person , should forgive the low base thinking individual for his or her ignorance .
I found a parallel to this in one of Charles Dicken's well acclaimed classic ' Little Dorrit . '
Little Dorrit lives in poverty & squalor in a debtors prison where her father is lodged , but she is happy , dutiful , caring & uncomplaining , always thinks of others and mostly her father . She is denied a better life by a selfish rich self professessed pious women by withholding what was due to Dorrit & could have her father from this jail . When Dorrit comes to know of it she is as respectful & forgiving as Radjhika is in this story .
So this concept of forgiveness is not new & can be found in fiction

Tazzi, very beautifully expressed.
I think the reason for not showing Amma punished towards the end is that all along they showed Radhika forgiving Amma and all the other naysayers out of her inherent goodness and that in the end goodness always wins over evil.
Every religion teaches that principle.
In Amma's case as well, they showed the ending from Radhika's perspective and not the viewers' perspective. As humans we are inclined towards revenge but even Kaanha bowed in front of Radhika and made him his most ardent and true follower because she was goodness personified.

It would have been fine if Amma expressed what she had done. And ask forgiveness of everyone. All the women in the world are getting abuse and television is a great medium to showcase that these crimes should not have been committed. I personally know women who have been emotionally and physically abuse and it just broke my heart that creators did not even acknowledge that. Why was Chacha and gang not forgiven.........

Tazzi, I fully understand but you cannot trust these creative teams to use this medium to highlight a social issue. Their chief objective is to entertain and they will use any means to make a fast buck, hell with using this powerful medium to educate and bring an evil to the forefront.
This show had an opportunity to showcase abuse, adoption and so many other atrocities committed in the name of religion. It started off good but could not maintain the high road because it failed to get the PH revenues it craved and eventually led to total disaster! You make excellent points about the lack of logic between Amma's crimes and Mrinu and Chachchu's crimes. For that matter Devki, Vaishali and others were hand in hand in committing atrocities towards Radhika. None of that ever got the punishment it deserved. It is a shame that these shows take women's lib another 50 years back and no one raises their voice!

Gardes great point. However if creators were smart they should have entertained us differently. It was not even necessary to bring back Amma and Vishaka in the end. They should have just showed that Radhika is leading a happy life with her family. This is the reason Zee is not doing as well as other major channels. If creators used their brains to entertain us Zee would be the one channel today. I had a theory that Amma and Vishaka were product of the current script writers thus they were glorified in the end. I was watching old CB episodes and some episodes were written by current script writers, but majority were written by Damini Shetty and Raj Shetty. Current script writers were Shushil and Shilpa Chaubey I believe. I could be wrong.
