Anu and Prem, have heard about Ishmeet Singh who died at a very young age and it not being an accident.. So sad... If I am not wrong, was he not in a singing show on Star Plus?.......

Yes I just saw those two lovely numbers.. At that time, I did not have Star Plus when this show was on, a very close cousin of mine had it and got the news from her that's why I was gettin confused......

And Yeah Ishmeet... 😭 Such a wonderful and soft spoken guy... Now there is a new guy in Saregamapa who looks just like him.. the way this guy stands politely and humbly with his hands jod ke.. he reminds me so much of Ishmeet.. he is in daler m's toli.. Its painful to watch him on screen... though he is also a very good singer.. Forgot his name...

And correct me if I am wrong Shrel.. The song Mitwa -kank is sung by Shafqat amanat ali who is different from the saregama contestant amanat ali... Shafqat is a huge singer from Pakistan.. and this is one of his popular no..

I am sorry if this info. is wrong.. Am not aware of all these latest development in the music scene...

Hey I knew u would like this guy.. I find him very cute... Voice needs to mature some more.. Though he sings grt.. somehow am not too impressed with his voice quality right now.. But his harkatein... just wow.. And his mannerism while singing makes me smile.. As though some Big Ustaadji gaa rahe hon... 😃 Very cute indeed...

he was very soft spoken .
i feel soo sad when i think that he passed away.

Yeah, the new guy is almost just like Ishmeet, meek and soft-spoken. His name is Tejinder Singh. Actually during audition 2 weeks ago, he sang our fav fav song from JWM ~ Aaoge jab tum saajna ! And I said, he HAS TO BE one of the top 18 !!! (Rest as they say is history !!)

Shafqat that you are talking about is a different guy whose name is Shafqat Ali Khan, whose voice is almost like RFAK.

But our Amanat Ali, although born in Pakistan, is from Dubai .. his full name is Shafqat Amanat Ali. The Shankar Ehsan Loy interview excerpt that I posted in the previous page (I think !), that's how I found out that Mitwa (KANK) is sung by him for the movie ! I was beside myself ! Shankar was looking for a "new" singer and when he heard AA's album, he decided to hire him for this song !! Of course, he already knew of his talent as one of the mentors in 2007. (lambi kahani ho gayi, sorry !)

Isn't it amazing how SRGM platform has resurrected so many wonderful artists !! We know a lot of them.... dont we !!
