Hi friends,
After keeping everyone in suspense, I am finally back with the results of our Game of the Week: Table Manners! πŸ˜† Thanks to all who participated.
Our GOTW asked members to correctly identify what was written on the coffee table in the Purohits beloved former Delhi mansion, referred to by us as PB (Purohit Bhavan). One member gave the correct answer. You guys don't call her the wisest person on the forum for nothing! I present to our winner...*drumroll please*...

Gardes! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Congrats Gardes, you correctly identified the mysterious Sanskrit writing on the Purohits' coffee table! It is from Bhagavd Gita Chapter 7, verse 8:
Rasoahamapsu Kaunteya Prabhaasmi Shashisuryayoh
Pranavah Sarvavedeshu Shabdah Khe Paurusham Nrishu
Rasah = taste
Aham = I/me
Apsu = in water
Kaunteya = Son of Kunti/Arjun
Prabha = light
Asmi = am
Shashisuryayoh = Moon as well as Sun
Pranavah = Omkaar/am
Sarvavedeshu = in all the Vedaas
Shadah = words
Khe = sky
Paurusham = the very being/possibly soul
Nrishu = Men/humans
Kaunteya (Arjun, son of Kunti Devi), I am the taste of pure water and the radience of the sun and moon. I am the sacred word and the sound heard in air, and the courage of human beings.
Alternately,
Arjun, I am the sap in water and the radience of the moon and the sun; I am the sacred syllable Om of all the vedas, the sound in ether and the courage in men.
Double kudos to Gardes for not only giving the answer in the language it was written in, but also a full English translation of Kanha's words to Arjun on the battlefied of Kurukshetra! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Gardes, I will PM your winning siggy to you when I return from my vacation next week!
Friends, thanks for playing our GOTW and stay tuned for the next one!

Thanks Sandeepa for putting this game together. Kudos to youπŸ‘

Thank you Gardes for winning---very well deserved. More than the winning I like the fact that you knew where the verse was from and the meaning behind it. What is the point of words without meaning and its application to life.😊

I know now why I am so addicted to CB and this forum.

Thank you all.

First and foremost Sandeepa, kudos to you for the GOTW. It takes someone to know the anwer to pose the questions and Kaanha knows this GOTW was not easy! As Sandip does on DID/L'il Masters, my hats off to you! πŸ‘πŸ‘
Additionally, it must be hard to judge the responses to come up with a winner. I was sweating bullets when I PM'd you. Rajsri labeled me as "wise" in the forum a long time ago and I always used that label tongue-in-cheek and was afraid that I may be wrong in my response and my reputation will be down the drain! This Guruma's chelas (Tathastu!) will be so disappointed in her! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
