I am wondering why they are dismantling the set? or were they creating the "Agra look"? Did you get to see any shots being taken or get to talk to the creatives?

That is if they have any life left 🥱 The day I met them, Rubina was on the set since 6am and that too after shooting outdoors all day in the blazing hot sun the previous day (Shan death episode). When Avi was called to shoot late in the evening, they said it would be a miracle if they pack up by 9pm 😲. Their normal shift is 12 hrs, but they end up shooting beyond that. They said only 20-25% of what they shoot gets televised 😲. What a waste of resources! 😔

Misti, you are so right about this. The channels try to incorporate one formula into everything which totally destroys uniqueness. These unique shows - CB. Agle Janam were a result of launch of colors channel which brought in different type of shows. Now, those shows are also running like typical soaps. Hence, Zee is doing the same. Even Agle Janam which was a fight of one low-caste girl against the system has been going downhill since March as they are now including typical type of stories diluting the original story. I think the channel was genuninely going to show the ONS between Dev and Vishaka until they got tonnes of letters and had to cancel their idea. The channel doesn't care if a show goes downhill. If the ratings go down badly, they will just bring another show in its place. Even with Agle Janam, they were planning a bigger leap as their show got into a rut because of a stupid track, but eventually settled with about 7-8 month leap. Hopefully, they will not go beyond that in CB and just stick to small leap. At this time, the new character is not brought as a full time parallel lead because they are looking at TRPs and letters. If they get angry letters, they will limit her exposure.

Neena Thanks for sharing your experience and pictures. They always seemed to be very humble persons. It shows in their interviews.

Why3, these Cvs are notorious for lack of planning and continuity. I got to see it first hand. It was Avi's day off and he was not even planning to be on the sets. He came there only because that was the only place I could meet Rubina and him together as she was shooting. All of a sudden, without warning, late in the evening, they wanted him to go tor makeup and get ready for a shot 😲. It is to Avi's credit that he can mentally adapt to these kind of situations and give a commendable performance in every episode.
It is my impression that the channel has the ultimate say in the storyline and other major decisions regarding the serial. Regardless of who is in control of the show, one thing is for sure - the actors have very little say in what goes on. Good actors have learnt to detach themselves from these things and focus on their performance. That is their only option as they are bound by contract.
