Actually, not sure whether it was that Vaishali either. She at least always adored Dev and her life revolved around him. So, to mourn for him so little is not like Vaishali. Rejecting Chikna is more Vaishali, but not to show any emotions at his death is Chunnu Munnu.
Everything has become a caricature. Last year, it was shown that Dev needs a proper Mrs. RP to conduct all the duties, otherwise chachoo was going to ask him to step down. Hence, Chachoo/Arjun//Mrin's plan to entice Vishaka to run away from PB. That was the reason due to which Vaishali immediately agreed for Dev's marriage to Radhika as her concern was that who would marry Dev while Dev was still married to Vishaka. Also, this year even Dadi was able to take away Dev's RP duties once he brought Vishaka to his home. Suddenly, it is impossible for a RP to resign and pass the power.
Shantanu was appointed by Mahant a week ago because the position can not be left open. Also, Dev was dead according to Mahant and police declared him dead too after one night search in a dense jungle. Now, Mahant is going by law and police is also not declaring him dead for 5 years. I wonder if police would show up at the last minute tomorrow to state that they have evidence of Dev being alive.
RP book that was never used. So, wonder if others would moan and groan and Radhika would read it cover to cover during the night (similar to Shastriji last year) and at the exact moment shout "Stop". She will probably find a loophole about this too. Maybe, they are bringing in pregnancy that provides that loophole or Dev is coming back tomorrow.
Why is Mahant not giving them time for Shantanu's funeral? It is a common courtesy to do so. How is Muth getting the wealth. I thought they were incharge of several muths around the country (per property papers given to Radhika at the time of second wedding) and that was just Dev's share.
If they are so dependent on this PF trust, wouldn't one think of saving some money in their bank account and buying some independent property that doesn't belong to Muth so that they can at least have a home. This new rule is making a mockery of the entire story. Amma was supposedly so mad with jealousy because Radhika was getting all the money and luxury that she burnt her. Now, it is nothing.
Finally, the anger of Radhika towards Shantanu. Justifiably, but how is Shantanu different from Amma. He is in fact better as he didn't plan as gruesome a death for Dev as Amma did for Radhika. Even though eventually, Radhika was saved she still suffered immensely from the burns. So, the moral of the story from the burning track onwards.
1. If you are adopted, feel so grateful that you can do any adharam (forcing your husband to stay with your unmarried sister and constantly giving him lectures about being a better husband while your sister runs around with other guys and do whatever). If a family member tries to kill you, cover for them and pray for them if there is divine justice.
2. If your kids are deemed unlucky, discard them at the earliest. Don't accept them back if they return as the superstition would come out to be true. If they do come back and you accept them in a moment of weakness, show no emotion if they die and actually refuse to perform their last rituals too. But, forget all the liars and evil people who harmed your kids (Amma is the perfect example).

I really hate the creatives for doing such dumb things. If only they would have thought of a better storyline for shantanu. I was really looking forward to it but now they just killed him of. I really thought that shantanu would stay for more months.

The creatives made Radhika into something that she is not......a person who cares for others is suddenly shown to gloat over the dead body of a son (however bad that son might be)in front of the mother. I know that Radhika has every right to be angry but she could have kept quiet then . If she was letting our her frustrations then they could have removed the hint of gloating and pride that was there in her dialogues.
As for the Shantanu storyline I was also expecting him to stay for some more time........this was the perfect oppurtunity for themto show conflict between Radhika and Shantanu..........they both had excellent negative chemistry between each other.......the sarcasm and snaps were pretty obvious..........it would have taken time but the TRPs would have risen...........they just needed a tight screenplay, good dialogues and direction...........unfortunately CB does not have either one of them.

Thanks Sandeepa.
I agree that Radhika was altered into someone very vengeful and she is not at all like that. She is protective of her loved ones, but not malicious, as she was made to look today. Chunnu Munnu, you fail.
I do understand that she is frustrated and angry at Chikna and most probably at all the family members for not believing in her, a person whom they have known for some time but believing in Chikna, whom they have just met and don't know that well......I also understand that the creatives are showing a Radhika who is not afraid to show her real feelings, when all her life she has hidden them .......but all this could have been handled in a better way. She did not have to gloat that because of her Kanha has done this........the way the dialogue was said made it appear as if she is taunting him.....Radhika is not that.
I am sorry that Hiten is off the show. I'm sure his fans feel short-changed. Chunnu Munnu could have done so much with this story, but they are incapable of portarying two tracks side by side, thus they had to kill off Chikna to make room for New Girl and her family. Chikna was made into a total caricature and today his finale was laughable with the silly police chase and Bollywood-style dramatics with him ending up at the same cliff and all.
This track could have been built up for some explosions between Chikna and Pataka......both were very good having a go at each other.......with snarls and sarcasm in full display......if only they had restrained his SRK type acting and had the patience to develop a strrong story.
I have been nursing my broken heart by watching old CB episodes...my God, the difference is like night and day! That CB was what the true CB was, with real script writers and real directors. This current version is running on autopilot and on the cusp of plunging trps and cancellation. But Chunnu Munnu seem to have no problem with this. They want to continue to dance around the mulberry bush. I, meanwhile, have planted a garden of gendwa flowers in remembrance of the CB that once was and will likely never be again.
Sandeepa I have also started watching the old episodes...........I just randomly pick up a episode and start watchung and as you have said the difference is very clear. Ah so you have also planted Gendwa Phool ........I think Gardes was also planning on doing something similar.😆

Misti & Sandeepa,
These days I just go to youtube and try to find old episodes. Usually, when I type the month it gives episodes from that month. I was watching few of June 2009 episodes and Radhika is irritating in some of the interactions with Dev, but it goes with her character. There was no inconsistency as she was like that last year after being brainwashed by Devki and Amma to take care of Vishaka at the expense of others especially Dev. Most of the scenes do not include any outdoor shooting, but just interactions between family members at PB. Those episodes are great with good dialogues, emotions between the characters and so on. Now, I can see even the boredom on the faces of these characters. Rubina was acting quite well last year and now in last few episodes barring some moments, I don't see that passion. I think the script and the storyline is affecting the actors too.
I can totally see Radhika fighting in that torture session, but last 2 days were just not Radhika especially today. I felt revolted with her character and Vaishali's at the cliff. There was no introspection or remorse expressed by Vaishali and gloating was just too much on Radhika's part. She seemed so hard hearted and not at all her compassionate self. Shantanu's character (as new it as was) was totally unrecognizable ever since the murder of Dev and especially in last 3 episodes. I felt really sorry for Hiten yesterday and today. It was apparent that it was a last minute decision and they were writing as they were shooting. He has a good screen presence and they did not utilize it at all.
If they want to maintain this show, remove the Mahant and bring old priests/Mahants back. This Mahant and his punishments are making this show look stupid. The characters need to be restored to their old selves and it includes Dadi, Chachoo, Shastriji & Mrin. Dadi was so caring towards Radhika last year at this time when she was almost raped. Besides Dev, she was the only one who understood Radhika's trauma and was caring towards her.

Haven't read posts in the forum lately or watched last few episodes but read updates and Mishti Ishtyle (MI) reviews! Thanks to the updaters and Mishti, I am in on the story! As usual MIs are hilarious and entertaining yet on the mark in terms of CMs committing harakiri! 😃
After reading today's MI, I have one very important question for you Mishti! Are you Ok? 😕
I got terribly concerned about you after reading about you banging your head on your desk. It reminded me of last week and Radhika banging her head on the pillar and walking around with a bandage for a few days and bleeding bruises.
Please reassure me that you are doing well! 😉

GKD should be made to run with his Dum between his legs since he has come he is negativity personified he is a narrowminded religious head😡.Why he is here now earlier no such person was there. He is scared of Pataka and never argues with her😆.Vaishali needs a leader so now she has selected Pataka .Pataka dialogue at Shan death scene was bit jarring and not keeping with her character portrayed so far. What happened to all the money Dev gave to Rads.why should they come out in ek vastra someone who is writing dialogues seems to be found of this. The way Pataka made Chachoo and Arjun shut up 😆😆 regarding RP.Misti humourous post.Yesterday night twice I lost the reply to ur thread I entered so I am doing it now. CMs know how to kill good tracks and interesting characters.
These days I am getting up in the middle of the night at 2.30 am they r telecasting CB from the starting and today was Dev meeting Rads 1st time at Rasleela.Just enjoying them and recording the old episodes. Its coming on ZEE Smile and other times dont suit me as I am at work.

Nice post misti.....
it was really disappointing to see shan's tragic death.....i wouldn't have prefered this way........

i can some what make justice to Radh and her feeling angry on Shantanu......She loves her husband more than herself and when she knows Shan tried to kill her husband mercilessly, her anger is justified..........But still i didnot like the dialogue she said...that her kahna did justice...
So now if the justice had to be done then the person dying is only the solution???
sach mein this act of CV's was not at all good.

what was utmost worse was Vaishali's behavior and her pathetic dialogues.......She was the one who left her child, she is the reason of his bad deeds.......and now she talks about burii athma and all....just senseless....today Vaishali was worst....

and it was so sad that nobody tried to collect the body of Shan...........afterall he's ur son and How much bad he be and how much u hate him atleast u could do was make his anthim sanskar rightlyfully. Atleast she could have done this for him for being his mother.
