This article is so right on. While serials capture our interest with what appears to be a new type of a store, or chemistry between the leads etc..... in the end its the same ghise pitte story and dialoges where anything is allowed as long as you are doing it to protect your family or your dharam.

No moral or legal laws apply. Like Radhika, you can lie left right and center but since she is doing it for a greater purpose all is well.

Thats basically what this item is about though CB started well and till sometime good we can see now that it is falling into the rut.Serials take all sort of liberties with morals, legalities and religious sentiment.

Chalhov,
Heroine has the strongest role, hero has non-existent role etc. are the basic templates of all the serials on all the channels.

In one of the interviews of Avinash, he did mention that he had not accepted Choti bahu's Dev's role bcos he said he thought he would be a prop around the CB of the house, but later he was convinced that that was not the case and he accepted the offer. I think, yes, he did have a good role in comparision, but then after good few 8-9 months, he was also reduced to the same template. I am not sure if they will have good role going forward.

Whatever the article states is not anything new .. this has been going on for that last 10 yrs and still going on ... Hope these creators of the show understand the 'Viewer Fatigue' (I am referring to the article that gardes had posted 2 days back) and make some change.

Bee thats because the serials captive audience is women and housewives so they r all women dominant and male leads have less roles to play. But the point is that household males r also forced to watch and it would be an interesting study as when women are watching males also watch though they appear uninterested.Other day I was surprised when my hubby commented I thought he never watched but must have heard some story lines and dialogues same thing happens in all houses and when I broached this topic in office many admitted they watched as their wives were watching.😆

I thought I will share this article as it will interest many on the forum.
