Shiny I agree with you 100%. If they want show unethical, immoral, unjust tracks then they should not involve Kanha and hurt people's sentiments. They continously show old hag's and Vishaka's sins and immoral acts as if that's the right thing to do. Zee claims that they're social network and so why not show for such criminal activities there are equal punishment. Zee and DJ's don't understand what responsibilities they have for society. They should teach society to be better human being but instead they're teaching immorality in the name of Kanha or any religious beliefs and that's very wrong thing to do.

After reading that I have this to say - we should understand for them it is a business and they are here to make MONEY and nothing else. Once we understand that, we can decide for our selves how much importance to give a show in our life. This is a show. In reality too there are some atrocious things that happen in life. By this I am not telling every is ok. What I am telling is instead of wasting our time trying to tell these people, we should use our energy in removing the real evils in our society. These people are not going to listen to us. We have the control in our hands as to how much and where and when to draw the line.
At one hand I read your frustrations and the other end, I watched this video clip. Take a look if you are interested -

tazzi that the problem bothering me too,,how can a person always recite GOD's name and do all the kind of sins under his name,,i mean how can kanha even tolerate this,,,he should be the first one to punish her but he is remaining silent and watching all the tortures radhika is undergoing,,,,I always say that there is a limit to every thing but here there is no limit,,,,

Shiny,
Thanks for liking this video.
Like you, I too have my history with this show. But I better not even say so that I do not embarrass myself.
When people suggested other shows to me, I simply used to say 'No, Thank You', I am fine with CB. But once I watched a bit scene of other show on a few occasions and then I read something interesting about the show and then I thought of giving a try. I did watch few episodes of other serial and then I realised we are stuck in a rut with CB. It is not that someone is going to give us an award for being loyal CB viewer. We need to stop taking pride in watching CB. CB creatives or AviNa or for that matter anyone is not doing a favor on us, that we are returning that favor towards them. They are in a business. If they do not satisfy us, we need to walk off too. Watch some other show, you will detach yourself with CB. I am not saying detach from one and get attached to something else. Once the other serial gets to a rut, walk off from that too. Remember, you do not have to be loyal to such shows. They do not care about our emotions, then we also need not torture overselves with their crap. I learnt this the hard way when I was going mad thinking about CB day and night. After I learnt my lessons, I watch a show with peace and know how much to enjoy and not let it effect me.

p.s: The above was just my opinion, you are free to not follow it. But, I would suggest you think about it.

Dear Bee

I had tears watching this clip and wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. Also, your this particular post to me was the best post in, I don't know how many days. So, once again thank you.

Like bee said so many atrocities happen in real world. In reality all of us live in a fairly secure cocoon. We cannot even imagine that things like Radhika's abuse, burning, manipulations, back stabbing and all happen in greater degrees in real life. And the saddest part is that in this world there will always always be people who will use such tragedies for their own benefit. And that is exactly what the DJs are doing.

Over the past so many months I have seen us members(including myself) writing to the creatives, expecting something to happen out of it and when it does not then disappointment sets in. Writing to the creatives is great if that is what takes us to feel better. But every time they give us a bad episode, we viewers beating ourselves up emotionally is not healthy.

Again, the reality is the creatives don't care. They will continue minting money out of this show as long as they can and after that they will have other shows from which they can mint money. And its not just the DJs. This is the story for every show, these days. Most of what I have been reading on the forum for the last so many weeks is just that, cursing the creatives! And a part of me feels sad. That we are allowing this show to get to us to such an extent that we cannot think beyond the show or of the bigger picture in life.

If we do some introspection and realize that this is just a TV show and one that is not worth all the energy we put into it, we can deal with the sadness, the frustrations the show portrays much better.

I am lucky in that I have had a job where I was forced to develop mechanisms to help my mind shield from the atrocities that I see in real life.
~I have a very busy life with my kids and other work that I do. That helps me keep my mind off CB to a large extent.
~I also have some wonderful friends with whom I talk over about a bad episode and that helps me realize that the frustrations we face with CB are so silly especially when placed within the context of our lives.
~I read a lot, especially biographies where stories about other humans struggling and finding success, lifts your spirit up like nothing else. There is a beautiful book that I read recently: A long way gone: Memoirs of a boy soldier by Ishmael Beah. It is about a young boy in Africa who was used as soldier and finally ends up in the US. Such a heart rending story yet at the end you cannot help but feel so good that goodness do triumph which is exactly the opposite of what we feel when we watch Amma's and Vishaka's atrocities.

But then again these are in general my defense mechanisms in dealing with the negative feelings and may not work for anyone else. These things help me see that life is not full of negatives like they show in CB. It also proves to me from time and again that CB is just a show. A show where the ultimate goal of every member in the show (including AviNa) is to make money and make a good life for themselves.

Each one of us need to find that something else that can take our mind off the negativity of this show. It may be drawing, reading, painting, writing poems, gardening and so many other things.

But the one thing that I know for sure will help us see that there are other things in life worth putting in our energy, our anger at injustice, our love is community services. Help a woman who was raped by offering emotional support, hug a child who has been abused by his parents and has never known how special a hug is, hold a woman's hand who has been beaten black and blue by her partner so that she feels she is not alone in this world......and then we will realize that if we still want to watch CB then all it is worth is 30 mins from our day and not a single second more than that.

Sorry guys, if I offended anyone but just had to get it off my chest. :)

angake:

Excellent post and thoughts !

Friends !

Below are few lines from angake's post

"Each one of us need to find that something else that can take our mind off the negativity of this show. It may be drawing, reading, painting, writing poems, gardening and so many other things."

What do you want to do besides this show?

What do you want to do to take your mind off the negativity of this show ?

If you find answers to these two question then you have a solution to your frustration towards this show and the creatives..

You don't need to reply to my post or the question .. just think about it and act on it ..

Have a wonderful weekend .

-R

Excellent posts Bee Angake and Radev There is so much one can do and so much sadness in the world.I want to share something in my house we have long back stopped celebrating our birthdays and marriage anniversaries on that day I either cook food means real sumptious nutritious food and either take to orphanage and see that they are served and eat infront of us or sometimes pack all food in individual covers and take and distribute to beggers near the temple or sometimes donate some money to needy students like paying that years fees or sometimes clothes.and we get lot of pleasure out of it so Actually looking at CB there are worse neglected people in the world but here we should just criticise the story as a fiction and not take it to the heart.

Thank you radevfanitaly for watching the video. Even if it made 0.00001% of a difference in your life, I would be happy. The purpose is served.
