I have been trying unsuccessfully to make my husband watch those old episodes .. He started from the mid-courtship days on US TV bcos they have subtitles and says he doesn't have time to watch any extra. I am thinking of downloading and watching them by plugging on to TV when he is around the house. My trick is, atleast if I play the old episodes on TV, he might be forced to watch! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

bee5 ...hmmm ... maybe we do agree ... the story telling was better before ... they elaborated on the right things ... In the past few months, while we have a few good episodes (esp the last few days) the story telling has not been very connected

So, if you mean that the episodes were better written before ... not the overall story ... i am with you. I like where the story has progressed now

Bee, count me in too. I love watching those old episodes. This is the first serial I have ever watched and is very special to me for various reasons, some obvious and some not so obvious. Sometimes I remember something from an old episode and feel the urge to watch that episode, then I feel I should watch one more, then one more and so it goes and I end up being glued to my computer screen for hours. This happens usually at night after my hubby sleeps ๐Ÿ˜‰

I managed to make my husband sit through a few minutes of CB (on US tv) couple of weeks back and could not take his critical comments about Avi ๐Ÿ˜ญ and had to let him leave the room. He could not see why I liked the guy who wears lipstick and has no time to shave ๐Ÿ˜ณ

rajsri,
Thanks yaar .. glad to have you too ๐Ÿ˜†....But the recent episodes are turning out good bcos though the DJs do not have the old writers, atleast they are planning the episodes well in advance. It really shows what a team work can do. I appreciate their efforts.

LOL dg86. Glad to have you too .. I am happy that from feeling like being alone, I have 4 more now.
I understand your husband's comments!! My husbands comments were something similar when he started out. My husband is a softie so, he very easily liked Radhika's character, but never liked Dev. I knew I had to work on that part. So, my trick was to stop commenting about Dev/Avi. A few days back I heard my husband say - "He is really good!!" (He meant Avi !!!! ๐Ÿคช) ... I was like "Yes!!!, I have done it !!!(in my mind)" and asked him back, "Is that so?" and very innocently, lightly muttered "Yeah, isn't it?" ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†
My next job is to make him watch old episodes and make him like Dev too!!!
BTW, he does think Rubi is pretty ๐Ÿ˜Š

LOL (on the highlighted part)๐Ÿ˜†
I sailed through the Hospital Phera scene and the Gendha phool and the Cave scenes, without any outrageous comments. He did give a sarcastic comical laugh. But I skipped all those episodes on TV, that may be the reason I didn't get his wrath.

My husband is also not into soaps guy, he is totally a current affairs and news channel guy. But I think he was too intrigued by my craziness for CB for a long time and US episode airing time matched with our dinner time and the subtitles did help. He doesn't remember the timing even now, I have to change the channel from some News Channel into Zee TV at the right time!๐Ÿ˜†

ok, now let me get back to work. I should have known better before, that if I come into the forum, I will be sucked in here!! Will come back later.

Rajsri, my hubby is not into soaps or bollywood movies either. If SRK stood next to him he would not even recognize him ๐Ÿ˜’. Unfortunately the few minutes of CB he saw was the guha episode ๐Ÿ˜” and kept chiding me about watching some "mindless crap" ๐Ÿ˜ญ If only he knew how sublime CB can get when everything falls into place............๐Ÿ˜
