Part 1
The episode begins with Radhika hearing vivek says shastriji is doing Vishaka's tarpan(death ceremony). She is shocked. Shastriji is completing the rituals while devki is crying, all Purohit members are shaking their head in disbelief. The villagers start gathering around the riverside watching Shastriji. Meanwhile, Radhika answers on the phone and says what, what are you saying Vivek Bhaiya? vivek is shocked and says Radhika? How do you have Dev's phone. radhika says his phone fell down here, please tell me what is my father doing? Vivek says Vishaka ka tarpan, hum logon ne unhe bahut samjhane ki koshish ki par woh bilkul nahi maane (Vishaka's death ceremony, we tried explaining a lot but he did not listen). Radhika listens in shock. Shastriji while doing the rituals says my daughter Vishaka is dead for me, I am considering her dead and doing shraadh and from today has gone to her ancestors. Radhika is shocked to hear it, she screams over the phone for someone to stop him ad that VIshaka would come back. Devki is crying. Shastriji finishes the death ceremony by putting the final puja items in the water. Shastriji says main Brij Mohan Shastri samasth devi devtaon ko saakshi maankar apni putri vishaka ka tarpan sampann karta hoon (I Brij Mohan Shastri, in the presence of Gods and Goddesses, finish the death ceremony of my daughter Vishaka) . Radhika screams and cries babuji.
Part 2
Shastriji finishes the ceremony while all the villagers are whispering and talking among themselves. Radhika is crying in the ashram and says Vishaka ko ek mauka aur...and then breaks down. After the ceremony, Dadi, Vaishali and Deepika try and console Devki who is crying. Arjun tells Susheel do you think this natak(show) that Shastriji is doing, by this their fault will be any less? By considering their daughter dead, will our reputation come back? Susheel responds by saying yes the insult was to our family, the Purohit Khandaan, our Choti Bahu ran off to MUmbai, by considering their daughter dead, the black mark on our faces won't be wiped off. The villagers listen to this and whisper. Vivek looks around and says Uncle this is not the time or place to say all this, Susheel responds now what time and place is left?
One villager tells this lady, did you understand, Vishaka ran away from home and the lady responds so they considered her dead and did her shraadh(death ritual). The lady says barbadi kehke nahi aati babu (bad luck and ruin don't announce themselves before coming) pata nahi kya kya din dekhne ko milenge Shastriji ko is buddape main (God knows what days Shastriji will have to see in his old age).Devki is crying.
Part 3
Back in the Shastri house, Amma asks Devki what happened did Purohit members were able to explain to shastriji not to continue? Devki cries and goes to hug Amma. Devki is crying, Amma is also crying and says please telle me what happened Bhauriya. Devki says Ammaji, he performed Vishaka's tarpan(death ceremony). Amma is in shock and her arms fall to her side. Amma says yeh kya ho gayo thakuji (what happened God), Shastriji comes and says Amma, Devkiji hum main se koi bhi us ladki ke liye ashoo nahi bahayenge (we will not shed tears for that girl) the way she disappeared from our lives was perhaps appropriate and Shastriji leaves.
Back in the Purohit house in vrindavan, Mrinalini has arrived and she greets everyone. Vaishali asks her when she came, Mrinalini replies just now in the morning and Mrinalini asks vaishali, did Dadi, Susheel and Arjun not tell you about that girl who looked like Vishaka,well guess what she was Vishaka. Dadi and Vaishali look on. Mrinalini says I met her also, so if anyone is the Shastri family lies, then please shut their mouth. Vaishali says shastriji has not lied to us, he has told us that VIshaka has run away to Mumbai and please don't make a big deal about this. Mrinalini says wait, after knowing all this you are asking me not to make a big deal and you are keeping quiet about this right? Everyone leaves except Arjun, Mrinalini and Susheel. Mrinalini says Vishaka will never enter this house again. Dadi is rest on the bed and Vaishali and Vivek are by her side. Vivek folds his hands and says Dadi, Ma forgive me the entire fault is mine, Dadi says no Vivek, after marraige, Dev always wanted to tell me something, he was always sad, I could never understand the reason for his unhappiness. Vaishali is thinking. Dadi says woh shayad jaan chuka tha ki Vishaka yeh ghar chodna chahti hai (she perhaps found out that vishaka wanted to leave this house) but he never told anyone anything, if we had shared his unhappiness, then we would have been able to stop it but he kept suffering in silence. Vaishali asks Vivek if he could talk to Dev, Vivek says he left his phone in the ashram till he calls usnow, we will not know anything but please don't worry I have faith that he will bring Vishaka back and everything will be alright.
Back in Shastriji house, Amma is saying to herself that by doing a death ceremony for a live person, the relationship doesn't break, Devki is listening, Amma says khoon ka rishta aise na tootat hai(blood relationships don;t just break like that). shastriji comes out and says Devkiji I am going to the temple, it is time for evening aarti, but please do not light a fire, there is death in the house. Amma and Devki look on. Shastriji is walking, everyone is whispering within earshot- bechare shastriji, bitiya ne naaak kaat diya, ghar se bhagkar ek baar bhi nahi socha ke gharwalon ka hoga kya (she cut his nose, while runnign from home she did not turn back even once to see what will happen to her family), another person says she was selfish, if she cared, she would never have left, two women say she was his daughter, however you raise them, they will turn out like that, something was lacking in their upbringing. Shastriji hears all this and leaves. One small girl comes and asks Shastriji if she can come for aarti with him, he says yes, she goes and asks her mother for permission and the mother says don't you dare, go to the other temple and the mother says I do not want my daughter to turn out like Shastriji's daughter. shastriji is very hurt to hear this. Shastriji reaches the temple and when Shastriji asks if he should start the aarti, everyone leaves. Meanwhile Radhika is doing aarti with Guruji (singing aarti kunjabihari) while Shastriji is doing his aarti with some people.
Part 5
Shastriji completes the aarti and is giving the aarti to everyone and one person in the temple stops everyone and says dharm ki badi badi baat batane wala apni hi beti ko sanskaar nahi de paaya (someone who talks big about dharm could not give his daughter the right upbringing). Shastriji looks on at Radhekrishna idol while all the temple people leave. One person stays behind and says I was very sad to hear of what your daughter did, it is strange how one's own children hurt us the most. He says if you had paid attention during childhood this would not have happened. His wife comes and takes him away and says why should we take aarti from him, God knows how many sins he committed that he had to see this day. Shastriji stands alone in the temple.
Radhika is sitting on the floor in her hut and thinking about what Shastriji had done, she gets up suddenly and says Babuji. Shastriji returns home, Amma and Devki are waiting for him, he sits down quietly. Devki asks why so late, Amma tells her to get something to eat. Devki gets some fruit and asks if she should cut it, he doesn't utter a word. Devki says I will keep it here, please have it in some time and leaves. Shastriji remembers what the villagers were talking about. Devki sees that he still had not eaten, says ok please rest a while. Shastriji does not move, Devki sits down and lays by Shastriji's chair.
It is morning and Devki gets up, she sees Shastriji still sitting on the chair. she asks him you have been sitting like this the whole night, did not eat or speak to anyone, what is going on in your head, please tell me.
