I don't think he will, I think Radhika will get there in time. And u know how its believed that he loves Radhika and Vishaka equally. When Radhika left all he did was cry and not eat. Now that Vishaka ran away he sat their like a statue and then got a heart attack, I think he loves Vishaka more just like Devki and Amma.

I have a feeling they will use his stay in the hospital to draw the 2 daughters back.

Vishaka will read the news in Vrindaban Times in Mumbai.
Radhika will hear of it through the grapevine aka Keshav.

Conscience (the guilty kind) will propel them back to VB.

Not that I want him to, but it would feel a little more realistic if he died. I personally think even though the beginning credits showed Shastri ji giving Vishaka more love and attention, I feel he loved each of the daughters equally, infact I thought he was the only one that gave Radhika a true share of family love, bcoz he was always defending her and stood by her decisions for eg keeping sindoor, removing it, not marrying etc. So I think he didnt favourite Vishaka over Rads.

But I think Shastri ji is too nice a guy, how would he feel if he found out that his real daughter was willing to live with a man whom she hadnt married. It would be totally embarassing for a priest.

I want Radhika to come back, to look after Shastri ji, I dont want him to die in her absence then that would make Rads feel terrible.

so I think the inevitable might happen, but I want it to happen after Rads comes back and looks after Shastri ji but that events lead to his eventual demise. Sorry just my opinion.

From the time Keshav knows abt his heart attack and then until he went to Ashram, he is still alive.

So it seems he may be in hospital after heart attack.

I don't think Shastriji had heart attck bcoz he loves Vishaka more. It's because she brought so much disgrace to family going after glamour world inspite of being a wife, daughter-in-law and Raj Purohitian.

He cannot die as he is yet to know the truth about dev loving rads- forget for now that he is unaware of the marriage too.

blokes why would it be such a big thing for Shastri ji to know that Dev loves Rads? Devs father didnt know he passed away.

u see on the other hand this would make Dev and Rads more closer as they both would have had lost their fathers in a short space of time and then as it would be her time of need, Dev will support her.

Same thing applies for vishaka too (in the opinion of both the families), they will be more sympathetic for Vish as Shastriji is her real father (nobody ever gave a damn for how and what Radhika feels, though she is the one who had been sacrificing her happiness for the family). Devki, Vivek, Birju only use her sacrifices as an excuse to change Dev's mind but in reality they are not Rads well-wishers.

I dread that Dev will be more obliged(rather pressurized by the family) to be with Vish (inspite of Vish being the reason behind all mishaps), if Shastriji is dead.

I want him to survive the heart attack and know the secrets of his Mom and Wifes karthoots... and put some sense in them or disown them for reinstating Radhika's marriage.
