lol bantam- and here i thought i was the pragmatist measuring distances!LOL! like pretty woman once mentioned- prohit house is better off known as pagal house! vrindavan house is yet another of those khandani properties- they have them in haridwar and several othe rplaces too- all inherted over several generations from servies rendered to kings and likes.

Yes, but they lost a lot of their "conferred" privileges in the 1970s. In any case, I do not think that the Rajpurohit title is inherited. You have to show your knowledge and maybe take some exams as well, which Dev would certainly flunk!

And, if they had a Raj Purohit in Delhi (unlike the Imam), then there would be riots among the priests!
